Hi atlanta, I think persistance at the right time is one of the keys. You should know that it probably, at your age, will might take a year or 2 to get pregnant. You should start taking your temperature every morning, before you do anything and before you get out of bed. Keep a record of it. I forget exactly how it goes (its been a long time!), but I think our temps drop right before we ovulate. That's when you shoud have intercourse for several days. Also, after intercourse, don't get out of bed for awhile. Some even suggest putting a pillow under your bottom, to elevate it a little...just to help the little buggers to go in the right direction. I think for men, its important to not drink caffeine if they're trying to get you pregnant. And its important for neither of you to smoke. I had a great book on how to get pregnant, but I lost it somewhere along the way. There's probably alot of good info on the internet if you do some searches. But timing really is the key. Do you ever have ovary pain with ovulation? Its good to have intercourse then too. I got pregnant with my second child by following my temperature and it worked! Good luck to you!

Yes I think so. You were married a long time the first time. You got used to somebody that had a set of habits and opinions. Suddenly here is somebody else with different personality, opinions, and hopefully the new one is smarter, more attractive and manages money better. Quite an adjustment. And, you got such a new husband at a time in life when they are much harder to get and keep. Less guys are around as they get older. We outnumber them more and more as each year passes. You are going to have to work a little harder to keep his attention. Hang in there, that first year is tough.

I am not married (divorced) so i am not an expert but I wonder: Jealousy is pretty much insecurity. I know that i feel jelous when i feel anxious or insecure about my partner. maybe that's how your husband feels. Explain to your husband that he is the only one for you, you love only him etc And the only reason you maintain civil contact with your ex is just for the sake of the kids.

You had separate finances before. You have separate finances now. Nothing unusual about that. But there must be mutual understandings. I assume your presence and activities within Dan's house amount to something. Cleaning, housekeeping, errands, cooking perhaps? In that sense, what makes you a "tenant" -- one who pays rent -- as opposed to a "housekeeper" or "personal secretary"-- one who is entitled to a wage? I would encourage you not to open that pandora's box. However, if he does, I wouldn't hesitate to turn it around instantly. Spouses often share expenses but they do NOT pay "rent". Suggest you share all expenses (excluding taxes and insurance on Dan's home which remains his asset) but not "rent". I think "rent" within a marriage is an obnoxious term. As time goes on and you may buy furniture, etc,. you must be careful to record what's his, yours, and "ours". Your union can work just fine with separate accounts. Both of you should gain. Neither of you should have your assets depleted. "Rent" would be a net depletion for you because if you still lived in your own house, you wouldn't be paying it. I would resist that. If you contribute to repairs and/or upgrades to Dan's house over time, that becomes your equitable interest in the property, too, which you'll want to record. Overall, I think Dan's being kind of a jerk about this. He's creating more problems than he's solving. You may have married a pedant. If he persists, you may want to consider a "post-nuptial" agreement and put this nonsense to bed permanently. How's the marriage going otherwise?
