I love love love Palladian Blue, and I think it will look great with your tiles. have you tried a little sample of the blue in your room? I like to paint a big square of cardboard and tape it on the wall for a few days before I decide.

no sampling done yet...walls just got plastered today and the light isn't installed yet so it's hard to tell how it will look without the proper lighting.

I think it would look nice. I did 2 small baths in Sterling and Quiet Moments and those were nice as well. I think of Palladian Blue as more of a blue on the chip whereas those other 2 lean more toward gray on the chip. IRL both had enough blue for my low light rooms.

I hate to be the naysayer, but I would definitely try a sample pot before you commit to Palladian Blue. To me, it doesn't go with the tile that you have chosen. the PB strikes me as cool, and great with smooth reflective surfaces. Your tile is more, rustic. Definitely try a sample pot before you commit. It's better to reschedule the painter than rush to choose a color.

You could take a sample of your tile and try some of the large scale samples with the tile. That should give you a good idea of the direction you might want to go...

We have Palladian Blue in our master bedroom and dressing area. In our room there is no hint of grey or green. It is VERY blue and I really want something with grey and/or green in it as well. Although the chip matches it exactly, on the four walls it bounces off itself and seems much bluer than the chip. I would definitely paint a large sample on your wall first.

That said, I think it might look pretty with those tiles, but do try a sample first.

All are nice blues, but if you want "subtle" I recommend Quiet Moments or its next-door neighbor, Healing Aloe. In my beach cottage I have Quiet Moments in the den/TV room and Healing Aloe in a bathroom, master bedroom ceiling, and closet. At home, I have Quiet Moments in my DS' room. I love Quiet Moments, but in my master bath I LOOOVE the subtlety of the Healing Aloe.

Judging from the chips, Palladian is very pretty. If Palladian isn't quite right, how about Bali 702 or Catalina Blue 703?

Quiet Moments and Woodlawn Blue might be a little cool to go with warm-colored tile. If the tile is more tan than gray I would lean more towards a warm, greener tone.

Gray Wisp 1570 seems a bit warmer than Quiet Moments if you want gray, but it will help to look at some larger samples in the kind of light you will use in the room.

Palladian Blue looked turquoise in my bedroom, Quiet Moments is a soft blue, not much green. Gray Wisp is slightly greener, but still reads as blue. Your tiles look like they have a slightly pinkish undertone, so avoid yellows and golds, which won't look good with them. Blues and greens are generally considered cool colors, but the more yellowish the green, and the more purplish the blue (red added), the warmer they are in comparison to purer blues and greens.
You can probably judge a wall color with your tile by looking at them with the type of bulb you will be using in your bathroom might be a good substitute while you finish the remodeling, but do it without a lot of natural light from windows.
Once you think you have the color you want, go at least one shade lighter and if possible, one shade more grayed. 0nce you get a color up on all the walls it will usually look more intense and brighter.

Similar but slightly bluer "Yarmouth Blue". I have it in my bedroom and guest room, love it. Palladian is nice too.

Palladian blue is a bluish green but, if it were me, I'd do it at 50% so its just a blush of color since you get little light in the room. My sister just did hers in Palladian and I love it but she gets lots of light. I like a softer lighter color in a smallish bathroom.

I have Palladian Blue at 30% on my mudroom ceiling; all warm colors (Weimaraner, Soft Chamois) and it works fantastically, lots of compliments on it. Photos are so hard to get right, but here:

I used a Palladian Blue wash on the breadboard inside my cabinets,which are all glass fronted.

I like it as a wash, but to me its pretty intense as is. IMHO it is the wrong tone for the warm tones of your tile, altho aqua and brown is (still?) in.

I know it's not a Benjamin Moore color, but have you seen Behr Silver Sage? It borders on a soft, blue-green gray. Your could have it mixed in BM. Home Depot has huge samples of it. Also, I've seen Sherwin Williams Rainwashed in a bathroom paired with a Relaxed Khaki ceiling, and a soft white crown molding and trim that was absolutely gorgeous. They had a limestone colored countertop. It was very pretty.

Here is BM Wythe Blue (right next to Palladian on the strip). This is a tiny half bath in our basement with no natual light.

I'm trying to think if it was Magnaverde or some other very astute poster who suggested painting the inside of a shoebox in your chosen color to see how a paint color intensifies when reflected off all four walls. If you are paying painters and want the finished bath to be really pretty, you do need to buy the sample pots and try out your colors. I usually bite the bullet and buy not only the color I am so sure is perfect, but also something that seems more muted or maybe just my 2nd and 3rd choices. It's time and money well spent when it comes to getting what you want.

I used Pratt & Lambert's Satin Nickel in my small interior bath/no window. I wanted a gray with leanings to blue. What I got is really more blue. I put the same color on the wall in the main part of the bathroom where I have really good lighting, and the color was too blue. I covered it over with a Behr shade called Rope. On the chip it's muted and leaning to green. On that bath wall it's more blue. I like the way it looks but finding the right shade for an interior windowless bath is frustrating. Trust the experts here when they tell you to go less blue, more muted.

Just now, I tied an experiment with BM Ashwood, which is on my master bedroom walls since October. I love it. It's a gray but reads either towards blue or green on the walls. In my well-lit (patio slider and big window) bedroom, it looks soft and barely blue. In my walk in closet, where my SIL sprayed it for me a few weeks ago, it reads more soft green with only the florescent light and the door closed. I expected it to intensify in that small space but it just changed color a bit. So try out some pots and see what you think. There are no guarantees on anything when it goes on the wall with your own lighting.

I'll second (third? Fourth?) other posters' comments about Palladian blue; it is VERY blue. I was planning to paint our master bedroom in it but it was too intense, almost turquoise. I went with Woodlawn Blue instead, but in retrospect I would have preferred Wickham Gray. I chose that for our office and it's a lovely subtle blue.

Also, given the warm tones in your tile, it's probably worth looking at some cream or greige options...

thank you all for the great replies! I really love the Palladian but I decided to go with Healing Aloe. I really hope it works out well. I usually find the "perfect" color I want then find that the color is way to intense once it's on the wall. The Healing Aloe is less blue and much lighter than I would have normally chosen, but I am hoping once it's on the wall in this small, windowless room, it will be just right. Will post pictures once it's all done. Thanks again!

I don't have pics, sorry, we sold that house. The Sterling bath was a tiny 1/2 bath with a small, high window that was always closed as it looked directly into the neighbor's house. The Quiet Moments bath was a north-facing 5X7 room with the window on one short end.

The PP reminded me that we did Healing Aloe in a basement bath that had no windows. It was a bit more green than Quiet Moments, but the floor in that room had a bit of green so it may have read and accentuated that.

I loved all 3 colors for nice, calming baths.

Always wanted to try Titanium....hmmm...

just a quick update...as mentioned before, I went with Healing Aloe and I love it! Definitely less blue, but it looks great. Bathroom was just finished today....

forboystoo...yes, it does appear to be a green-gray with a little blue. Hard to describe but just as sueb posted upthread, it is soothing and subtle. I love it! We are replastering the upstairs bathroom as well, and I believe I might use Healing Aloe up there also.

In the places I've used it, Healing Aloe has been more blue than green. I would say the opposite of jreed -- blue-gray with a hint of green!

Healing Aloe and Quiet Moments are two of my all time favorites...
