Any local tile sources for backsplash in Portland, Oregon?

I'm starting to consider what to use for my backsplash. I'm thinking carrara mable subway tiles (or maybe smaller rectangular marble tiles in a running bond pattern). I don't want anything too busy, and I'd like to find a source near me where I could get tile. The closest large city is Portland, Oregon. I've seen some tiles that look good online, but it would be nice to be able to get what I want locally. Any suggestions?

Here are the stores I'd head to if I drove south for a tile hunting trip:

United Tile
Oregon Tile and Marble
Ann Sacks
Pratt and Lambert (also have an outlet store)

The Emser Classica line has harlequin tiles, but I believe they only come in cream or white. I've seen photos of white and cream alternating, which are kinda neat. We are using the Classica subways and some of their other tiles in our home. They are very nicely priced and they have a little bit of imperfect lines to give it more of a handmade look.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I've already come across these 3 options. The Sonoma Stellar was quoted at $75/sf for 1x2 mesh mounted. Ann Sacks Savoy is exactly what our friends have that started us on this hunt, but in 1x2 it only comes in 3 colors that won't work and their in house line of 1x2 was $100/sf. I was hoping for something a little more hand-made looking than the Daltile, but for the price different I guess I can live with it.

I would expect that Calacatta as a field tile would be too expensive for this kitchen. Thanks for getting those mosaics off their website, rebunky. I like the stick mosaic but I'd probably use something more like the 1 x 3 brick. I love squares but I know that's a dated look. The wave tile is dimensional. There's also a hexagon and a mini herringbone mosaic. I'm never quite sure what you can get in which finish from Encore. Confusing website. I'll think about adding color in green and/or red if I do a mosaic. If I was able to get Encore, which would probably involve going to Seattle for an overnighter, I may be able to get a field tile in the Bravo line. Thanks, guys. Next step is getting out to some tile stores.

Great suggestions so far.

Two other places to try are Portland Direct Tile and Marble and Thompson Tile. These 2 are right across the street from each other. United Tile and Pental are close by so you can hit 4 stores within easy distance from each other.

Just be warned that even though you're buying locally, the tile you choose may not be in stock. Suppliers aren't stocking tile like they used to do. But if you need to order tile, all of the above places have showrooms so you can see the tiles before you order.

The showrooms are really fun - and dangerous, too many temptations.

(You may need to go through a distributor for Thompson Tile. The showroom is open to the public but I think they are wholesalers. I ended up not using tiles from Thompson but if I had Interstate Flooring would have handled the order for me.)
