Better Quality version of Pottery Barn Pierce sectional
Comments (4)Check out the Preston sectional from Room&Board. It is extremely comfortable and can be configured in many different ways. The standard fabric it comes in is not microfiber, but it can be ordered in any of the Room&Board fabrics and no extra charge (allow more time). Compared to Pierce sectional I believe it is better quality. You won't be disappointed. We bought ours last year and we are so happy with it we will be ordering it in sofa form for our gameroom. It is that comfy. Here is a link that might be useful: Room&Board website...See Morepottery barn queen ann chairs, quality?
Comments (2)Quality may not be determined by the wood (species?), but I see lots of examples of chairs that are self-destructing after a couple of years (or less) because the wood is brittle (brash), does not have a lot of cohesive strength, has grain runout, knots in stress places, or was made into a chair when too wet and cracks, twists, or splits as it dries. I usually mumble to myself, "Well there's another piece of wood that should have gone to the scrap bin and never put into a chair." Call it "wood" or "how it's put together," the result is it's a little cheaper and a lot worse. Pound for pound, I think chairs take the most abuse of any piece of furniture. We don't normally lean other furniture back on one edge or slide it across the floor when loaded with ten times its own weight. Loosening up is not the end of the world because the joints can be disassembled and reglued, unless some idiot has peppered all the joints with pneumatic nails....See MoreQuality of Pottery Barn (Teen) Fabrics
Comments (5)Thank you for all the excellent options. I didn't realize that the B&W dotted bedding was so popular among different brands! One great thing about PT teen is their customer service I will say. They have a 30-day money back guarantee for any reason so I've decided to send back the duvet cover, sham and insert and they send a UPS truck out to my house to pick up their merchandise so no hassles for me--other than the hassles of receiving defective merchandise twice! DD likes the zebra sheets though so we are keeping them. I went ahead and ordered similar bedding from JC Penneys. It's a comforter and not a duvet, but I think that may work better anyway since it's not a big deal to wash a twin comforter in the washing machine. And with the money I saved over the PBteen bedding, I ordered an extra pair of sheets. The dots on the JC Penneys bedding looked smaller than the dots on the Walgreens bedding, though that was nice as well. And, mom2sethc, I love your room and bedding. That pattern was an earlier contender I had considered, but DD perferred the dots. Thanks for showing the pics of your lovely room. Once it comes in and I get the valances hung, I'll post some pics of her completed room. Thanks again everyone! Comments (1)I believe waterworks sells one. We currently have a vintage porcelain sink on metal legs that will be relocated to our basement bath. I was very close to buying a pottery barn vanity, but decided against it after reading some horror stories about their customer service. I was hesitant to make a big purchase and if something went wrong, then have to deal with their service. Have you considered vintage?...See Moredeclansmom
