Help - studs holding lath and plaster are rotted!

I just started on my bath remodel on my 1916 house, and of course found a nightmare behind the walls. The studs on 2 of the 3 walls around the tub are rotted up to about 5'. The biggest problem is that the studs on the long wall hold the lath and plaster for my den/guest room. At this point I'm not prepared to tear down the entire wall - way too much disruption for what was going to be a simple bath remodel, and I couldn't replace the nice coved ceiling in the den. My plan right now: shave the worst of the rot off the studs, then treat the studs and lath with either a copper or boric acid treatment. Then I'll add new pressure treated studs, sistered to the old but running the full height of the wall. Make sure everything is dry and ensure the new bath has a fan (already installed, obviously decades too late!)and the surround is built correctly.

Any thoughts? Are there other ways to replace the studs completely and still support the old lath?
