For those dealing with or concerned about cancer

I read a short, excellent article in AARP the Magazine entitled "The Anti-Cancer Lifestyle." It was written by David Servan-Schreiber, MD, a prominant neuroscientist/psychiatrist who was treated for a cancerous brain tumor a number of years ago.

The thrust of the article is that everyone's body contains cancer cells at one time or another. What happens to those cells depends on how a body reacts to them. And that, in turn, depends to a large degree on lifestyle. He advocates the usual recommendations--exercise, stress management, and good diet--and gives a list of specific foods and herbs we all should consume more often.

He says we can do a lot to ensure we don't get cancer, or to keep it from coming back.

I wanted to link the article, but can't find it online. Instead, I found a radio interview with Dr. Servan-Schreiber. I haven't heard it yet, but I suspect it's worth listening to.

Here is a link that might be useful: Radio Interview with the author
