I got so much help here I feel I should add a few more comments. clayladylei and urlee.....do go into the link Audacity, del 5 posted and read... also in my original post randy ca posted a link acoustica-spin-it again. Both my husband and I read and reread these links. Learned alot there. We brought software on sale for $15 called Cakewalk Pyro 5. It lets you split tracks and clean up noise. We have one CD that we are really proud of. You will need a USB cable that connects from the record player (we used the earphones plug in) to input connection on the back of computer. Had to buy a adapter to make one end the right size connection. I tell you, these young people in at Staples, Radio Shack, Best Buy, etc can rattle this stuff off like you wouldn't believe. Just ask them. We put all this together and it worked. DH is ready to take on some cassetts now. randy ca......I know about 78's....they really go back in time don't they? My parents bought a new radio in 1946 with a record player....I was in 7th heaven and it only played 78's. I still have several of them.... About 1942 or 43, I was visiting grandparents in Southern Illinois that summer, they had a Victrola, one that you cranked with a handle to make it work. See I am to old. It just fascinated me to death. I wanted some of their records. Grandma being a grandma sent a few records home that trip. I still have 3 of them, by Capitol Records dated, 1901 and two dated 1903, and they are in excellent condition. urlee you can do this....anybody that can master doing Snags like you do.... can do this....Snags is above me.... I called to double-check the price, and told it was $34.70 per sq. ft, so may have misunderstood the first time - much better than $45, although still pricey. Rainbow

I wish my pause button would work so I can open door, sometimes it works 1 out 10 xs maybe. The tech wouldnt listen to me about that problem. I just did the test of 9 towels-10 handtowels-10 washclothes and they did work this time, they didnt tangle up and the machine didnt stop and it did balance out, I dont know why the last time I tried this, it wouldnt spin, or why it wouldnt spin with 5? I mentioned to the tech that the other guys told me that it would ruin the rubber seal if I put what the manual recommended, he said that is bull and said not true, these machines are made to wash full loads, I guess medium size loads is when it doesnt work. Now I will have to do the test with all long sleeve light weight items, maybe that is why they tangle up, maybe there is too much room for them to tangle? I would be much happier if this was the problem "easy fix" I just wish that they would have told me this to begin with instead of telling me I had the right amount in. We'll see. Now the soap thing, I didnt use soap in the towels, I'm kinda scared to, but I think after I see no more suds I will. I am going to go buy somekind of powder, I think I will try Gain? do any of you use it? how does it work in the newer models? I use to use Powders in my Frigidaire FL with FS and I didnt like the way the powder didnt rinse from the dispenser, it always left a bit in it, and the FS I didnt dillute with water like they say now days to do, but my washer got the mold on the dispenser where the FS was, I think that is what caused all the mold?

As someone said, "Polite can be controlling." only it isn't manners; it's control being called manners. A person who knows that his behavior is making his partner unhappy & who says, "*I* like it" & continues... is not concerned with her happiness or comfort. He's in the driver's seat, & he's driving his life & yours. I'm so sorry; I don't have any suggestions on how you can get what you want. When someone has all the marbles & won't give you any, you have to make decisions about whether you want to stay in a game you'll just lose over & over until the day one of you dies.
