New food processor! Whoo hoo!

Well, I have wanted a 'nice' food processor for a while, mainly because of this forum. You know 'just put 'fill in blank' in the FP' blah blah blah'. Well, years ago I had a cheapie that was a pain to use and had a million parts. And I have a cuisinart mini-chopper which didn't live up to my expectations in the least.

The garden is coming in strong and I thought I would like a decent FP. Went to WallyMart and they had 3, all pretty low-end...from 29.99-49.99. Hmmmmph....pass. I mentioned to my dad I would like one so he offered to buy it for my birthday. Bottom line: ended up with a 9 cup Kitchen-aid in chrome. After coming home I looked up reviews and it gets 5 stars from almost everyone on Amazon.

So, aside from pasta sauce and salsa what do those of you who have a FP do with it mainly? Oh, it does have the dough blade which I wanted (and my dad wanted so he could borrow it to make pie crust!). I think if I am pleased with this unit I may just go buy one for my dad too.

Okay, back to the original question: What do you mainly use yours for?

TIA.

Duane
