Our new all-fridge and all-freezer units don't have water and ice in the door, so we're planning to have a very small bar sink next to our freezer which will be exclusively for cold, filtered water. We're also planning a toe-kick drawer under the sink which will be mounted upside down for use as a step stool. (We'll flip the drawer right-side up when the kids are older).
I'll store lots of kids' cups in the lower cab near the sink, but I'm wondering if there's a way to make this sink work like a drinking fountain. If we mounted a gooseneck cold-only dispenser on the side of the sink, rather than behind, would that be weird? As I've mentioned before, we have 12 kids, so anything I could do to cut down on the dishes would be awesome. I mean, *really* awesome. ;o)
We actually considered installing a real drinking fountain, but there wasn't anywhere we could do it without it being right out in the open. Form weighs out over function in this case!
If you've done anything like this, I'd love to see pics!
