I would do the Ivory like the furniture. You want some contrast between the rod and window trim and the rods is more lie 'furniture' for the room than it is part of the house like the window trim. JMHO.

I'd go for white like the trim, if the drapes look best with that. I consider rods to be in the same category as trim/baseboards--the "bones" part of the room, the basic building blocks. Just my opinion, tho!

While I don't think that either way would be a drastic mistake, I do believe that the rod and finials would be much prettier in an antique cream.

I'd use the ivory to match the bed and compliment it. The white would be too much contrast and take away from that gorgeous headboard.

pammy: sorry we cross post -- didn't mean to ignore you. Anyhow, at first I planned to do white for the same reason that you stated (matching rods to trim). However, we will be putting crown moulding in there and I'm afraid the rods will be lost in all the trim work.

Thanks for helping me made up my mind. Ivory it is. Now I can move on to picking out the chandelier for this room.

I vote for Ivory to match that beautiful bed, but you can't loose either way.
