It's Paula Deen's, no butter & I wanna make!

Maybe you will too! She made this yesterday and I was drooling.

Lime Blueberry Tiramisu

1 pint heavy whipping cream

1/4 cup confectioners' sugar

1 pound mascarpone cheese, at room temperature

3 (3-ounce) packages unfilled ladyfingers

1 (6-ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed

1 (21-ounce) can blueberry pie filling

Fresh mint leaves, optional

Directions

In a large bowl, beat cream with an electric mixer at medium speed until thickened. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating until soft peaks form. Gently stir in cheese until combined; set aside.

Split ladyfingers in half. Line a 13 by 9 by 2-inch baking dish with ladyfingers, cut side up. Brush ladyfingers with limeade concentrate. Spoon half of cheese mixture over ladyfingers. Top with half of blueberry pie filling. Repeat procedure for the next layer with remaining ladyfingers, limeade, cheese mixture, and pie filling. Cover and chill 8 hours. Cut into squares to serve.

Oh, man. If I lived closer I'd hop in the truck and drive right over, just to give you an excuse to make that divine-looking dessert.

I don't see any butter in that recipe,Glenda! LOL I would have the butter and everything else but definitely not the mascarpone cheese or lady fingers.I HATE ladyfingers.I'd have to substitute something else.LOL Maybe make it into a pie instead and use cream cheese??

Give her the cookies and a nice defibrillator kit with a lovely bow on top! I did the same thing recently with olive oil in a focaccia, I think it was. The ingredients list gave the entire amount, and I didn't notice till I'd already added all of it to the dough that I was only supposed to add part of it and reserve the rest for drizzling on top later. You could've given yourself a hot-oil treatment by wiping that bread across your face. Only Martha is perfect.

I don't really like Paula Deen either...I hate the way she portrays the southern woman. Many people will look at her (idiot acting) ways and think that all southern women act and talk like her. orie I think the same thing especially when I see food on her chin or coming out the corner of her mouth. Glenda I think I saw on the food network a show about the waffles and fried chicken...seems like a restaurant that stayed open late for the late night crowd invented the chicken and waffle meal. Their two big meals that people ordered were waffles or fried chicken after a night out and lots of partying (drinking. When she first came to the Food Network, I really enjoyed her shows. Paula's Party, I can't bare to watch. I think she truly embarrasses her guests. When I saw her sticking her tongue into a chocolate fountain, then saying something with a sexual innuendo, that was it for me. And I am not a prude in any way. I just felt bad for her guest. He was obviously embarrassed. She also had chocolate on her finger and has an audience member suck it off her finger, while she gets all dreamy and big eyed. I think she may embarrass her sons too. I am not so sure I am convinced of her phobia either. JMHO

I grew up loving lady fingers from local bakery!
Can't wait to get the chance to make this.

I guess the only Lady Lingers I've had were in a very bad Tiramisu and that turned me off on Lady Fingers forever.LOL Guess maybe I should try them again??

I think what Stacy means is usually Paula Deen is known for her butter (lg amts) and this one doesn't have it.
THis looks good...I am saving it. DH and I would never been able to eat it all alone.

Hey Susan,you are so right! In fact,I over whipped some just a couple of days ago and it was "almost" butter.Hate it when I do that! I ate it anyway,over fresh strawberries.LOL

Lilli, try slices of sponge cake or angel food cake instead of ladyfingers.

Plenty of fat in that recipe with the whipping cream and cheese.

Lady fingers I had as a young'un were from homeown Electric Maid bakery. Everything from there was delicious. Our Sunday butterflake rolls always came from there.

And her lady fingers were so light, Fond memories of going there with my mother and sister.

First time I ever had elephant ears was from there, and none can compare with Electric Maid's bakery.
