I'm Looking for Meal Planning advice
Comments (18)AM There is a recipe for Lasagan in a Hard Rolls on the RE that sounds good. If you don't want the cheese Dances suggested using meatballs. I think this would mkae a great kids meal. If your kids will eat grilled veggies you could add that too. I would omit the soup mix and add my own spices. Lasagna in hard rolls 3/4 pound of ground beef and or ground sausage or a combination of both. 1 8oz. can of tomato sauce (I use the garlic/seasoned) 1/2 of an envelope of dry onion soup mix About 1/4 t. dry oregano About 1/8 t. dry basil 1 large egg, beaten 3/4 cp cream style cottage cheese, drained 3/4 cup mozzarella or other cheese 8 hard rolls Cook the beef/sausage in a skillet and drain off the fat. Add the tomato sauce, sout mix, and seasonings, Simmer covered for about 5 minutes. Uncover and cook for another 10-15 minute longer, stirring frequently. Mix the egg with the cottage cheese and 1/2 cup of the cheese. Cut a thin slice off the top of each roll. Hollow out the center leaving about 1/2 inch thick shells (save and freeze the bread chunks for a dressing, bread pudding, etc.) Spoon half of the meat mixture into the bottoms of each roll. Spoon cheese mixture over meat, then spoon remaining meat mixture over cheese mixture. Sprinkle the 1/2 cup remaining cheese over the meat mixture and replace the tops of the rolls. Wrap each roll in heavy foil.Place foil packets on a baking sheet. BAKE at 400 (preheated) oven for about 25-30 minutes. You can add your own seasoning to your liking if you wish. A nice salad is all you need with this one!...See MoreTummy Bulge and more!
Comments (1)Feelin -- thank you, thank you. I think too many of us beat ourselves up because we don't look 20 years old anymore. Just the other day I finally said, I'm going to wear this t-shirt that hugs my hips because I like it, darn, and to heck with trying to look like I'm not 65! Who am I kidding!? So, I have a little pot belly. It doesn't make me a bad person, and now I have another reason to not hate my curves. Thanks for the education....See MoreBM's pregnant - I'm apprehensive
Comments (25)Yes believer, it was directed at you. I find it both amusing, and pathetic, that someone who has been here less than a week has already resorted to the kind of name calling that junior high children commonly do. I think TOS has a huge chip on her shoulder. I think she sees with blinders on, and I think she thinks that every step mother in the world is evil incarnate. She assumes that every Stepmom in the world got her husband by cheating with him, and she looks for little things to prove that to herself. I think she is hurting herself by her inability to get past things. She is a deeply wounded person. But she isnt a troll. Yes, you are free to post whatever you wish, although someone, somewhere down the road is probably going to b*tch and moan that the post is off track ( which only seems to happen when its someone you dont agree with) For what its worth, there are a lot of posters here with chips on their shoulder, of a different kind of wood. Many of us have our present situations influenced by our attitudes about things that have happened in the past. Its hard sometimes not to say anything, I know. My own past has been EXTREMELY negatively impacted by psuedo religion, so of course I am going to pick out the inconsistency in your faith, when you denigrate someone you dont even know. LIve with it, or ignore me, Your opinion of me doesnt matter in the least to me. Since you made a point of mentioning how you follow God in a previous post,I am merely pointing out that your attitude in name calling is very out of line with your supposed faith. IF that stings, thats your problem. If it doesnt, then why bother reacting. Perhaps you should take your own advice. I notice you posted this on another topic "We could do much more good if we changed our attitudes from bitter, negative and hateful to that of a person who has lessons to pass on from experience. All of us have had a great deal to handle throughout our lives it seems." Had that been there when I posted my response on this topic to you, I wouldnt have commented as I did. It seems you DO understand the need to keep the name calling down to a minimum, and the understanding to a maximum. Maybe its just that you think it shouldnt apply to you? I do thank you for confirming what I believe about religious people :) After living in the bible belt for the last few years, I have learned a lot about what faith is...and obviously isnt....See MoreI'm Sick to my stomach
Comments (30)Hi Josie, I'm late in posting my comment, but someone else already did. I'd sick my hubby on him, and be done with dealing with this guy. I own a business, and even in this day, there are times I have male clients that would rather deal with a man. I can tell by the disrespectful way that they speak with me. My initial reaction is to tell them where to go - but it's business. My husband is also my business partner - so rather than lose a customer, I take the easiest way to get to the common goal with our company and our client. It's hard to stomach in this age - most men are happy to deal with us both - either one of us, male or female. But it is what it is.... so it's easiest to just accept it because you're not going to change them. I find that the ol Dr. Phil saying comes into play here "How's that workin' for ya?". If it's not working, then *you* do what *you* can to change the situation. Good luck! Boxie...See Morejazs
