Ceiling fan/light opinions

I currently have a cheapo-looking white ceiling fan/light. See below:

I'm looking to swap that out with a more decorative unit. I definitely do need a fan in the kitchen. I have a pretty large wall unit A/C in the living room, which does a fairly decent job of cooling the first floor during the summer (I'm in the Phila. suburbs), but I need a fan, as it can get hot in the kitchen, even with the A/C on when I'm cooking.

My appliances will be s/s, as will my sink. My faucet is brushed nickel. As you may be able to see from the photos, my bin pulls and knobs are nickel. In short, all of my finishes are from the "steel/nickel/chrome/silver" family. Unfortunately, I don't really like any of the ceiling fans that come with these finishes. I really prefer the ones that are oil-rubbed, antiqued bronze, etc.

So, here's my question - will an oil-rubbed bronze/darker wood fan seem totally out of place in my kitchen? Or, is the fan removed enough spacially from the rest of the kitchen that it doesn't matter?

I appreciate your feedback!
