Goya cooking wine

I know the prevailing kitchen wisdom is to use drinking wine in recipes, not cooking wine. And for most of my life I followed that edict. But now that I'm cooking for just myself most of the time, I'm reluctant to open a bottle of wine and have it sit there forever.

So when I saw the price of Goya cooking wine at my supermarket ($2 for a full-size bottle), I decided to give it a try. After using it for a few months, I can say that I love this stuff! I taste for salt after adding the wine, because the wine itself is salty. (In PA, it couldn't be sold in supermarkets otherwise.) But it works just fine in my recipes.

Anyone else tried it?

Susan
