Just saying thanks

I started looking through old posts and realized I've gone through peri-, full-blown, and post-menopause with the help of all my friends at the forum.

Thanks for being there for me then, and now.

Hi cheerful, If you don't mind me asking, are you feeling better? If so how long until the sky turned blue for you again. So far I've been in menopause hell for six years. This year being the worst. Please give me so hope to hold on to.

From what I can figure out, I started peri in my late 40s(I'm now 55). Went through about 5 years of hell(hot flashes; bad mood swings; marital issues).

Been on HRT for 3 years, which has eased but not eliminated my symptoms. The worst thing happening now is the weight gain, osteoporosis and some anger issues.

To answer your question lostnj, I'm better than I was 5 years ago, but not where I want to be. The sky is blue, with patchy clouds.

I would like to thank everyone on this site!!!!!!! Even the newbies. You all may not realize the ideas that you give some of us, to either fix a problem or to start growing something new and weird. LOL. I love/hate some of your garden pics, as I live in an area that can get snow/frost in July. I can get real depressed looking at all those great gardens that you all have. LOL. But you keep giving me hope and desire to do better. I am trying to start a compost pile and it is because of you people. I will be trying some things to extend my growing season, and those Ideas have come from you, here on this wonderful site. So I give all of you a huge THANK YOU!!!!! I dont like all the pop-ups on this site though.

You have reconfirmed what I had been saying since I ordered from Mickey myself. He really is a good guy who will do just about anything to get you what your looking for. Add the fact that he ships his trees in pots and also includes a free tree, and you have one hell of a guy!! I just hope that all the positive comments here help too boost his business. HE really deserves it and I know I will be ordering from Mickey again someday soon! BTW...Nice mango tree! Living in zone 7, I assume you will be keeping it in a pot? Do you have a greenhouse? I ordered a 'Carrie' from Mickey and at first, he told me that all his Carries were small trees, under 3ft tall. That wasn't what I recieved! My tree is closer to 4.5ft tall and it came with inflos on it. They have since opened and I have counted 7 flowers with tiny fruits and hopefully at least one will hold. Good luck with your tree. Please post pics of when it arrives and you have it planted. Andrew Andrew

Thanks for this Lindsey....this was really touching. My DH was in Viet Nam and to this day nearly 40 years later he gets thank yous and long conversations from strangers. He has his very faded USMC tattoo on his forearm and that always catches peoples eyes. He also has a purple heart plate on his car and over the years he's been approached by lot's of people to say thanks. He's even gotten pulled over a few times just for the officers to thank him. It means a lot to him even now. He still has a hard time talking about a lot of stuff from that time in his life, and these few words of gratitude make such a difference to him. Thank a vet and all of our troops today!

Cheerful thanks for responding so quickly. I am also on hrt have been for 18 months. Definitely helped with flashes, nightsweats, dryness etc. What has been awful for me is panic and anxiety attacks worse by the day. I am 49 and started 6 years ago. I am glad you are feeling a little better hopefully the rainbow will shine for you soon.
