Mower won't start after sitting
Comments (10)You need to refine your use of the terms 'crank' and 'turn over'. They both mean the same thing, to turn the engine in an attempt to start it. This could be by manual pull starter or electric motor. The engine may 'crank' or 'turn over' with out starting, which could indicate one set of problems, or not 'crank', which would be something else altogether. As near as I can tell, the engine is not getting fuel, or not getting good fuel. You need to drain and discard any gas left in the mower/tank/carburetor and put fresh new fuel in. To this fuel add half a bottle of auto fuel injection cleaner. If you crank it some every day, you will pull the new treated fuel through which eventually will run the mower....See MoreIs it out of line to try to train someone elses dog when sitting?
Comments (15)Our pup and their pup grew up together. He's either one month younger or older than mine, I can't remember. Everytime they came over when they were young, and mind had new tricks and could stay/sit/down etc all they'd say is "Ohh, I wish we had the time and etc etc to teach him all of that, but it's just been so hectic, and I've been so sick/tired (with the pregnancy)" And I think he just kind of got lost in the pregnancy, and newborn stuff. I think I'll just start in on it, because he's already picking it up on his own, and I'm having a hard time resisting the urge to enforce stay, and down when he takes off and gets mud all over my couch! If they mind I'll just say that while he's at my house, for extended periods - It'd be easier for me and for him, if he had the same rules as my dogs. My dogs pick up on it, too, when he gets away with stuff they know they aren't allowed to do, and they start to misbehave. My dog will start to come when she's called, and when she sees he's taken off the other way, she follows him. Or she'll run inside and not sit and stay at the door like she's been taught etc etc. They already say he's not trained well, and he doesn't listen well to them at all, even at their house. I'm over there quite often. They kinda just let him run rampant. On the furniture, jumping on things, etc. He kinda rules the roost. The tell him to get down, or come, or lay down etc. But he doesn't know the commands well enough to know what to do. So hopefully if I do work with him, they'll continue with it, they try..I just don't think they realise it takes more than a couple of cookies to teach a dog something and have him be consistent. Just thought I'd ask before I tried, to see what the general consensus is from other dog owners. Thanks for the replies :)...See MoreWhen to store, where to store, and when to throw out
Comments (15)I make jewelry and have lots and lots of stones and glass beads and findings. I bought a bunch of the plastic drawer sets on casters at Joanne Fabrics or at other hobby-type shops. I then bought some plywood at Lowes and had them cut it to the right size to make tops for the drawer sets. I took the wood home and sanded the ends smooth and then put on a nice dark stain and several layers of polyurethane. Then I went to Joanne's and chose a beautiful fabric that matched the family room. I really hate sewing hems, so I used Tacky Glue and folded back the heavy fabric and glued the hems and side seams. I made skirts for the drawer sets, stapling them to the plywood tops. You can then glue ric-rack or rope trim to hide the staples. I made the fabric into a flap in front of the drawers, but mostly just made straight, heavy skirts that were stapled to the tops. Then the top just sits on top of the drawer set. I sat plants on one, family pictures on another. Using this idea, you can hide all kinds of small things. They make the drawer sets in tall, narrow sizes, as well, so you might be able to find a space in the corner of a guest room or den to put one....See MoreAches and Pains- premenopausal
