Just thought I'd add my two cents (or is it 20 now?) to this..I started on a 2% testosterone cream twice daily ten days ago, and will be using it once a day for the next ten days then switching to at .2% after that as prescribed by my compounding pharmacist. He has recently returned from a conference on Libido and said that for many women a "jump start" is necessary for kicking the libido into gear and finally, after four years of lagging sex drive I am beginning to feel the positive effects of the testosterone....with no negative effects...once again proving that we are indeed all different in our metabolism of all types of things, hormones being only one.......Anyway, I thought I would also share that my pharmacist also says that one of the presenters there at his conference said that in twenty years he has never known there to be a failure of increased libido with the use of DHEA cream - the downside for women looking for a solution "now" to an ongoing problem is that it can take three to six months to take effect....hence the "jump start" idea....but perhaps for those of you with problems with testosterone - ask about the DHEA cream.....the best to you all....Patti

Hi, i have been researching natural progesterone creams for a week or so now, and they all say that progesterone cream rubbed into fatty areas of your body, thighs, upper arms and lower abdomen are fully absorbed into the body, and used as your body needs it, but estrogen will be produced by the body by taking progesterone, and its quite unusual for people to need to take extra estrogen, its also not advisable, as this has been the many problems for years in that women have been given estrogen by Drs thinking that it needs to be replenished during menopause, whereas now the general way of thinking is that this actually procudes estrogen dominance, Dr Lee goes into this in great detail and by eck it all makes sense at last. Jodi, To my knowledge, I am fairly certain that there are NO negative affects with NPC. I understand that it helps the balancing of the other hormones. I have used NPC for several years. I use it to control hot flashes and prevent the possibility of osteoporosis and breast cancer. I did "just quit" the craem once, because I thought I may not need it any more. I was fine for about a month, but then the hot flashes hit me with a vengence! It sounds to me like NPC could help you and I have never heard of any bad side to it. Have you had your thyroid checked? That could be some of it, but the NPC may help that situation too since it too is a hormone. It sounds like you are aware of the bennefits of "Natural" rather than synthetic, good! When you get the NPC ask the dealer about the best way to take it for your situation. I hope you find some relief. Hayjud

Progesterone, and all the other hormone treatments, have a slow gradual effect. Don't expect a sudden change, but wait 2-3 months and see if you can tell any difference. If not, then it may not be the cause of the problems you are having. I can tell the progesterone cream works for me because I get PMS symptoms on a regular basis now. Prior to my using it, I would go for many months without any hormone level symptoms at all. (I don't have periods due to a partial hyst at a young age). I would rather have PMS than no sign of hormone function at all, lol. Mrs H
