Help! Need good white paint color for carerra bath...
Comments (2)Cloud white is also a very true white, and not too stark. We just painted my daughters room this colour and it is very nice. Beth...See MoreBath remodel -online carerra marble basketweave tile?
Comments (8)Hi KFHL, I bought a herringbone marble tile-- love it. I paid about $12 per sheet from a local tile store called International Tile and Stone (in Los Angeles) and I suspect your local stores will have it. The store I went to also had a basket-weave, but I got this one instead and it really came out beautiful. Almost finished with my bathroom.... still waiting for final touches like mirrors and crown molding. To see the disaster putting it together and how houzzers helped me get thru it, check this out; [https://www.houzz.com/discussions/help-needed-before-8-22-16-monday-dsvw-vd~4104082[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/help-needed-before-8-22-16-monday-dsvw-vd~4104082) Good luck with your project. If you are going to splurge, master bath is definitely the place to do it! I feel like a princess in my new bathroom!...See MoreBest color for Master bath with carerra marble tiles?
Comments (2)Depends, do you want warm or cool? And are you trying to capture the gray in the marble? We have carrara mosaic floors in our powder room, and I painted the walls C2's "Archival" they are beautiful together. But it's a very cool gray and actually quite contemporary. A warmer gray would also be gorgeous, and more traditional if that is your bent....See MoreMaster bath from 1992, eggplant/green marble and lavender walls, help!
Comments (17)Jennifer K, thank you for the ideas and taking the time for some visuals (and humor!) Mail4Tar, we’re connected :) I do think that paint can improve upon this enough… good luck with your project. Susan Davis, the house is in MA. It’s a testament to the importance of choosing timeless finishes, so a homeowner and future home owners don’t get locked in to a narrow set of design choices. Hummingalong, nice idea to re-do the grout! Mrykbee, embrace the cave! I may just do that. Laurie Sawaya, thank you for your insight. I’m not sure what the vanity top is, but it feels like stone, it’s rough underneath. But, I have no idea. It definitely does not go! I can visualize it matching the tub, good idea. Helen, you’re funny, “jaunty green trim”! Thanks for the humor. You, mail4tar, Susan’s daughter and I are connected with bold 90’s marble. I don’t feel so alone anymore. Thanks, everyone, for your comments. I’m leaning towards a dark gray for the cabinets with a lighter, related gray for the walls, and better lighting. I’d love to replace the vanity top, but… I’m not sure that’s in the budget. I’ll post back with the finished project in a few weeks....See Moreteacats
