Master bath needs your help - dated wallpaper
Comments (56)Great space. And your correct the rich counter tops, are balanced with the deep wood tones and lighter marble flooring. Since you will be applying make up and using this room daily I would select the mid tone colour from your marble tile floor - nothing with any hint of green and nothing too pink. Of course please pick up sample pots and try a few on boards but it seems like Sherwin Williams SW 7516 Kestrel White or SW 7517 China Doll would have the sophisticated warmth this room deserves yet be neutral so that you can add some art prints above the tub area - frame in a similar metal to your decorative lighting. Stack up loads of white towels and you will be in a spa every night!...See MoreNeed help with vanity color in master bath
Comments (10)Color is only one component of style. Blend traditional architectural and design details with black and the result is classic sophistication. The photos show carrara and black marble basket weave floors, 3x6 subway carrara marble in shower and marble vanity tops with profiled backsplashes. Wood paneled wainscoting surrounds the room. Medicine cabinets with crown molding flanked by traditional styled sconces sit above black furniture-style vanities. A tall white linen cabinet with beveled glass doors is located in the separate toilet room behind a frosted glass entry door. All the elements contribute to a traditional style including the black vanities....See MoreHelp with marble and tile for my master bath.
Comments (3)You can definitely mix the two materials, porcelain and marble. If you put marble on the floor use a smaller mosaic instead of large tiles to prevent slippage and natural wear won't be obvious. I can't comment on the shower floor, but I have seen countless examples on Houzz that show it being used- again with smaller tiles. You can mix porcelain subway tiles and bands of marble mosaic on the shower walls and use subway tile on the walls of the bathroom. I have a carrera hex on two of my bathroom floors and carrera vanity tops and it's awesome! It also runs the spectrum from snow white to grey to cream to pale khaki. If your porcelain blends with your toilet and tub it will blend with the carrera. https://www.houzz.com/photos/1920s-white-marble-bathroom-makeover-traditional-bathroom-nashville-phvw-vp~170051...See MoreNeed master bath help! Comments (4)I'm not a fan of the green cabinet. So I'd paint it a darker brown. You have such light colored elements throughout the room, you could use something darker to anchor the room. This may be backwards, but I'd find a rug I love, then take my paint cues from that. So many colors to choose from!...See MoreRelated Professionals
