Where can I find a fabric with similar colors for a good price?

I just love the colors in this fabric, and I tracked the fabric down, but it is over $100 /yd... Too much! Anyone have any suggestions for a better price?

You can do a Google Image search and find the same and similar fabrics. Go to Google > Images > then click on the small camera shadow in the search box to upload your fabrics (one at a time).

Too bad you weren't posting this last summer. I bought a vintage dining set like that, (similar) to give to my son and his new wife, but they didn't want to go that traditional, so I put them on my local CL and made a profit. I found mine on Craigslist. If your budget is limited and you can upholster or have access someone who can, why not try looking for vintage and add the right fabric/nail-head trim? You might try search terms like "Jacobean". Red

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I'll check out the sites this weekend. red - it's' both, the puckery and the color, but I am flexible as to colors, so I'll give HOF a try too. Really appreciate the fabric search assistance. Any thoughts on where to find similarly styled furniture? I've checked out the obvious (PB, WE, RH). I'm guessing these were old pieces. I really like the boxy arms and cute legs. I have a tremendous fear of going into a furniture store - I always fear being talked into something I don't want - so I do prefer online shopping.

You should be able to make a vent cover without too much difficulty. Years ago we made radiator covers. We ordered the decorative metal from some online source. Big box stores sell the metal pieces too but the may not have a pattern you like. If their sizes are too short you could use 2 pieces and cover the seam with a piece of wood trim. There are directions and videos on line. I have linked a couple below. vent-cover instructions updating-your-air-vent-covers I have also linked a couple sources for the decorative metal. The very best thing ? A very good nylon, one you select at a higher end broadloom carpet store, and have bound by hand to the exact inch you want. It will be indestructible. It will be highly cleanable. Example the nylon, hard to tell the difference, of the VERY difficult to maintain viscose fiber laden, ready to go rugs you will find. The shading and luster is absolutely wonderful. Those are the same fabric - Chiang mai (sp?) also referred to as the dragon fabric. You may show two different colorways though. You can find that fabric for way less than $100/yard. It's very popular and all over the internet. Search Ebay and Etsy. I know there are many etsy dealers who make/sell pillows using that fabric. Someone here posted a chair in that fabric the other day. Marcolo??

I would like to sew two curtain panels for my living room. I plan to use neutral colors for the upholstery and walls, so the curtains and throw pillows, and perhaps a rug, will be the color pops in the room.

Since I can sew, I wanted to just buy fabric. I need 16 yards, so the cost must be $30/yd or less.
