I headed to church early...funeral tomorrow has a good possibility of being an over flow crowd and perhaps as many as 200 for lunch. My daughter called early and wanted to take me to lunch....and issued an invitation to a fancy meal out on saturday. I told her I needed to work and she said she would come the 40 miles and help and spend time and get done faster and we could have lunch....and she brought 16 year old Dan who knows his way around a chicken to be boned and onions to be chopped!
With the rest of the helpers we were pretty well done by 1:30....ate take out lunch, finished shopping for tomorrow's lunch....and I grabbed a nap.
Dram of scotch and a grilled cheese with tomato, a Dutch pastry given as a birthday treat and I'm off to bed.
Going out tomorrow....and a friend has promised to buy me a drink, and Saturday Latte and I'll run into my daughters for a lovely dinner out for me and time with a crochity old dog friend for Latte.
Later I'll go into my son's where I have been promised a "proper feting"....
And I had half the church choir sing to me...3 part harmony....lovely!!! LOL!

Thanks to all....scooping up the doggie and heading into "The City" for a birthday dinner at Des Moines Golf. I'll spend the night and do a little crazy sale shopping tomorrow.
My feet and ankles are still suffering from 2 days on the cement floor of the church kitchen.
