Happy (belated) birthday! I hope your special day was just what you wanted, and if not, there's still this weekend. :)

Thank you all for the nice Birthday wishes! I wasn't online all day yesterday & I am just now-getting caught up, visiting our KT. It was probably one of the best birthdays ever. My kids and grandkids all phoned during the morning-received flowers & gifts and a cake. Then at noon the 'party' began. Ernie & I took an old high school classmate I hadn't seen in 48 yrs-and her DH down to Madeira Beach Legion, It sits right on the Intercoastal-the weather gorgeous. We danced, watched the dolphins leaping in the water, watched the scads of boats out yesterday-great time! I think any northerners (other than snowbirds) all arrived in FL this past week instead of coming in Jan.due to the cold weather here. There was at least 350 people at the Legion.. We then went to Salt Rock Grill for a scrumptious dinner and on clubbing until 2:30am this morning! I truly didn't think this now-66 yr old broad could handle that long of a day & night...and judging from the fact that I've barely moved from my chair today..tee hee...I wasn't wrong! Thanks again for the kind wishes and Bunny-I sure hope you had a great Birthday as well!

Thanks everyone. It is "Thinking Outside the Block" and made as 1/4 block. You put 4 together to make the squares in the center, then place 2 or 3 around so they look like they are stacked. We played with several looks, but decided on the simple stacked one. I used 2 1/2 inch strips from my stash. The backing is black with the manual alphabet in white. I "wrapped' it in a coordinating pillowcase. beverly

Diane, I'm sorry I did not respond earlier. The only reason I want to know who did not send in 2008 and 2009 is to not have those same people in our 2010 group. I think it would be wonderful if someone might volunteer to take the name of some who did not receive this year or last year and would make that block for them. Once we get into 2010, I will try to do this on a volunteer basis but just for that year - matching people if there are any problems. As for 2008 and 2009, I don't want to try to play catch up before I even start. It woudl be very thoughtful if someone wants to take on matching for the months gone by. Jeanne
