Help choosing granite

We are currently doing a very budget-friendly renovation to our kitchen, which was last remodeled in 2003 by the previous owners of our home. As part of the renovation, we are painting our honey oak perimeter cabinets white and installing a new cherry island in a java stain. The existing countertop on the perimter cabinets is Corian, Mont Blanc (I believe this is a discontinued color). Mont Blanc comes up in a google search, but primarily it is a grey with flecks of white, black, and brown. We plan to use a marble subway tile backsplash with a small accent of blue/green glass linear tiles.

We would like to keep the Corian countertop for a few more years because it is still in excellent shape. We are having trouble, however, choosing a granite to "match" the Corian in the meantime. Some of the colors that we like are Silver Pearl and Black Impala. We also love the look of traditional marble but are scared off by the stain/etching issue. The white granites we have seen so far do not seem to match well enough with the Corian or the planned backsplash. We are open to other natural stones but cost is a factor. We also love the look of recycled glass, but again, cost may prohibit that choice.

Are there specific colors of granite that might work with this kitchen? Would it be better to go with a stone in the white/grey spectrum vs. a stone in the black/silver spectrum? Any advice or suggestions are MUCH appreciated!
