Finally replacing a kitchen table - need help!

My kitchen table has finally worn out its welcome. Its whitewash base/legs and oak top needs will be carried off to my daughter's college apt. as soon as I can find a replacement. I am going from a rectangle to a round (I think) and would love to hear your opinion. A little background: My walls are sort of a faux beige (kind of Tuscan look) and we have a tile floor - a greyish color. Dark ceiling fan and a two black sconces. Otherwise, all white cabinets and white formica countertops (until we replace those someday).

I am attaching the tables I am considering. The darker "tobacco" one is 54 inches with a leaf. The lighter one is 58 inches with no leaf. Would love to hear comments. Thank you!

P.S. Yes, I've read all the forums about round tables.

Here is a link that might be useful: My favorite table - but has no leaf
