Eating Beef
Comments (1)Hi Helen, I have never had that experience. But I'm finding I eat less and less meat. I feel like I can feel the red meat just sitting in my stomach. It's like a big weight once I swallow it. And I get a taste in my mouth I don't really like, kind of slick. When I googled to see if I could find an answer I found this website, which talks about flavors and additives. It really made me want to keep my diet as true to the earth as possible! Comments (15)Our Westies eat cow heart every day. I cut up hearts into strips the size I want, lay it out on cookie sheets with waxed paper in between the layers. After it's frozen, I bag it into gallon freezer bags. It's our morning routine: when my dh gets up for work in the morning he let the little girls out, they do their business, he let them back in and they run straight to the freezer to wait (sometimes-not-so) patiently for him to dole out their frozen-heart breakfast. One eats hers in the kitchen; the other runs off to our walk-in closet. They like it frozen and raw, little barbarians that they are. Judi...See MoreDog food from beef organs?
Comments (2)I'm starting to venture into some raw feeding recently. I think you could probably feed them raw but I'd probably feed in small amounts. I haven't fed them liver yet but I've read online that liver can be a little rich and can cause stomach upset if too much is fed at once. I can't remember right now if heart is the same way or not....See MoreNYE party has moved to my house-yikes!
Comments (5)Deanna, sweats and slippers are approved apparel for tonight. They go with lobster. Linda, hop in the car and come over, I have the room. You too Deanna. After a good nights sleep, the menu now is: Herring in cream Lobster with butter Roast tenderloin Rolls, breads, etc.(Rolls are rising already) Roasted truffeled asparagus with parmesan topping. Mushroom Ragout, posted by Catlover on the tenderloin thread a few weeks ago. Beer, wine, etc. Sweets are still being considered. Is chocolate mousse light? And not one thing needs to be bought. All from the pantry or freezer. Now all Dad needs to do is get some more beer. What a hardship. Thanks ladies! Happy New Year!...See MoreIslay_Corbel
