Have you already decided on a color? I was going to suggest SW Burlap before I got to point where you mentioned it as a color that you were considering. It's brown with a touch of green/olive. My home has an open floor plan and I just recently painted my kit. & liv. room walls SW Ecru.I painted the kitchen ceiling SW Muslin,and the liv. room ceiling SW Netsuke. These colors are on the same strip as the Harmonic Tan and Burlap you mentioned. I have a sunroom/dining room adjacent to my living room and I had planned to paint it SW Burlap, (wonbyherwits garden room was my inspiration-linked below), but at the last minute I changed my mind to BM Pike's Peak Gray because I decided I wanted to add a pop of blue/gray to my color scheme. Cyn, I'm not surprised you missed the hydrangea -- that corner of the pic is pretty dark. I have two azaleas under the windows that are bright pink when they bloom, but they bloom such a short time, and they never seem to get enough water because of the house overhang. I planted some bulbs there too, and some big pale pink day lilies that seem to be thriving. I've long struggled in my mind to figure out what's the best thing to do with that bed next to the house because of the not getting much sun or rain problem. Can I move those well established azaleas without killing them? I think they'd like more sun too. The P.O. said he watered them heavily all winter long but I'm too lazy for that in the cold weather and I feel guilty about it all the time. The house is in the Seattle area, btw. The little tree in the center of the front planter bed is my pride and joy and was a big splurge. It's a 'Tinkerbelle Dwarf Lilac' on standard and I love it when it blooms. I've toyed with the idea of expanding the flower bed that's closer to the street, too, but I fear that would make it harder to access the middle of it for weeding. I really don't know much about yard design, but I do love flowers and have planted a lot of perennials and bulbs there, plus it has three blueberry bushes that bear -- yumm! The bed is pretty crowded now because I love the cottage garden look. But that also gives a great haven for slugs, which we have a lot of here. Eeeew. Another guilty point is I shouldn't have let the lawn get so brown, but all the neighbors do that and it's expensive to water and the plus side of not watering enough is you don't have to mow so much. LOL Ideas on the yard would be welcome from any of you!

roseabbey, not your monitor and my ceilings aren't blue either....fault of the camera. I just grabbed my phone and snapped the photo, it was sort of dark and well, that's what I get! I did stop by BM at lunch today. The Sterling Silver color will look too cool (not coooool, but cool!) so I don't want to make the tall space feel cold so I'm sticking with my gut and going with Baltic Gray. And I must say, finally a paint store guy who totally got the High Gloss Dark Ceiling thing! I didn't have to answer the question "Why would you paint any wall surface high gloss?"....oh geez--OPEN A MAGAZINE ONCE IN AWHILE, is usually what I want to say. I just smile and say it's a design choice. The BM guy showed me their high gloss enamel paints. I have to compare it to the SW ones.

THANKS ~ ever so much ... Brushworks Spectacular Finishes :) I got the caulk, (loving the service at Sherwin Williams too) first visit. Appreciate the note about painter's tape. I practiced this morning running caulk beads before tackling the real thing. A bit like icing a cake and rather addictive. Also noted that the paint store rep. strongly suggested I not caulk until I had the room's normal lighting installed. As currently I have super bright work lights everywhere. As you noted about "barely visible" , much of what I thought was catastrophic (ie gaps) in the blaze of 300 watts was perfectly acceptable at 100. Ever appreciative of your response and suggestions.
