$168,000 will not support 14 children for very long. And her medical restrictions precluded her from prolonged sitting, standing, walking repetitive bending and heavy lifting. But she and the medical professionals thought she could carry 8 babies? It doesn't make sense. And what I'm looking for, is for her to declare how she plans on supporting those children once that settlement money is gone.

yes and they just said,the hospital bill could reach up to three million dollars. Now we know who is paying for that.
She said, she is going back to college in the fall. Who will want to take care of this many tiny baby's? She keeps saying family and her church will help.

the lawsuit $$ came from worker's comp, ie tax payers. i wonder why no one asked her why if she thought her upbringing was dysfunctional (and she has no idea what dysfunction is LOL) is she making her children live w/ her horribly dysfunctional parents? sounds like she's making a case for the state of CA to come in and take those kids away being that she believes the grandparents to have raised her in a dysfunctional home. or she herself is abusing the kids by forcing them to live w/ her dysfunctional parents. ~ liz

Liz, you took the words right out of my mouth. If her family is so dysfunctional why does she still live with them and subject her children to them? This woman has a ton of mental issues.

I'm so glad I was channel surfing this morning and missed the interview. Thought I was gonna throw a shoe through the TV last night when I saw a clip of Ann Curry interviewing this maroon for the Today Show.

Something tells me I'd better keep that remote tied around my neck so I can turn the TV off in warp speed each time...holy crap...here she comes as I type. Guess the time difference means this portion of the show is just now coming on.

I'm going to call cable today..save me from our idiot media! I need to get back to pleasant shows like gardening, cooking, anything but news.

The money she got is probably already gone if it was years ago she got it. Raising 6 kids would not have been cheap.

She struck me as having some serious issues with her own mental health. But now that all the intense clamoring has begun for interviews, the first photos, etc . . . so begins the 'selling' of her children for their support . . .

Maybe Angelina Jolie will step in and adopt some of them. I think the mom kinda looks like her. Maybe it's the lips. Anyway, Angelina is a little 'different' and always has been.

This mom is even crazier than one of my neighbors who calls the cops to have them come out and tell her DH to turn down the TV while she is trying to sleep! My neighbor, like this mom, is in grad school.

Beyond that and being kind of snarky, does anyone else think that she's also had quite a bit of cosmetic surgery? I'm just saying that her nose is very thinned and turned up and the fact that her forehead didn't move...

It seems like she had the children with the intention of others raising them. So, no sweat off her back. Sad. I hope all of her children have a decent quality of life.

Just what California needs right now....more people to support. This lady is whacked! You know she is seeing $$ signs and tons of freebies in these kids, but that can't last forever either. I never wish this on anyone but I think the best thing for these kids would be to take these kids from her....it can't be a normal upbringing for any of them.

Well it was only a matter of time before someone tried to emulate the large families that they've been parading in front of the public on cable television - The Goslins, the Duggars, Kids By The Dozen, Super Quads, etc. Fortunately it's not all that easy to give birth to high order multiples or it might become a trend.

I won't lie - I enjoy watching some of these shows but I think the large family thing is getting old. I wouldn't be dumb enough to start having a bunch of kids now thinking I would get a free ride.
