Monday Night with The Bachelor....

Haven't watched every episode, but agree with others Stephanie was "the older woman" in his life...she was so gracious and genuine last night! Thought it was a very moving and emotional point for all of them. They could all learn from Steph's maturity. Life is a great teacher and her husband was very fortunate to have known her.

As time went by, I started to like her more and more, but still didn't think she was right for Jason. I don't have a clue who he will ultimately pick, but the rest seem sort of flaky compared to Stephany. Any one know how old Jason is? Dottie

I really like her and the rose ceremony actually made me tear up. My favorites left are Jillian and Melissa. Molly rubs me the wrong way and I am warming up to Naomi but still not positive about her.

It was cloudy and cool here all day today. this morning when Georgy and I went for a walk, it as very humid. I came home soaked. DH and I went to Ruby Tuesday's for lunch today. After eating a salad from the salad bar, I wasn't all that hungry so brought home 2/3 of my dinner which consisted of three shrimp, a small lobster tail, a piece of tilapia and a baked potato. I'm planning on a bowl of cereal for dinner.

Susan, any time I make burgers and add lentils or black beans to them, they don't hold together well. I Iike to add a bit of legumes for more fiber. We love chipotle and adobo. I should look that recipe up, just for the flavour. Raven, you've been feeling crappy for a few days, I sure hope you get back on your feet and feeling chipper again. Shirley soup and sandwich always goes down good at our house. Angela, you've been holding true with getting more vegetables into your husband's diet. Your dinner sounds good, as all stir-fries do. Prairie_rose....what, feeding the calves and doing chores isn't enough exercise for you?? I like making baked ziti instead of lasagna, the flavour is there, but it's easier to make. :-) Rhizo, pulled chicken sandwiches sound good!

Jim congratulations on your upcoming cruise! I love it that you had wine with bacon and eggs. Audrey, your dinner looks and sounds fabulous. We had baked potatoes last nite. Shirley, I've yet to make red beans and rice. What's throwing me off from making it, much as I'd like to, is that we only have kidney beans, as far as a red bean, and I know that isn't the kind to use. I made quinoa with toasted almonds and red currants the other day. We like quinoa. Kath, for some reason companies change their recipes. In the event of making things healthier, taste gets compromised. Less fat and salt is less flavour it seems. Prairie Rose, do you make the light fluffy dumplings? That's what my Nan made and that's all I've ever known. I've never attempted it; I should! Raven, that looks divine!! We love roasted vegetables! Erin, I hope you feel better. That's dedication, coming onto a dinner thread when you're not feeling that great. Betsy, that's nice comfort food. Gyr_Falcon, that's a great sounding meal! Glad to see you here.

Sue you are always so busy, running around. You must have a great time with the girls. Mary, I haven't had chicken and dumplings since my Nan died, decades ago. She made the lightest fluffiest, dumplings. I just bought a another second-hand slow-cooker on the weekend and we used it for chicken as well. I'm thrilled with it. GM, I love meat and cheese with salads. Rhizo, we like breaded and fried eggplant. Zucchini would be just as good!

I wouldn't marry him if he were the last man on earth. Think about his devotion to his son. The step-mom would never be able to correct him without upsetting Jason. Anything the child wanted he would get including his way with anything...poor woman who marries him.

Jason is 32. Stephanie is 34.
Myself, I am leaning towards Melissa, now that Stephanie is out of the picture. I don't care for Naomi. Molly is ok. Jillian is ok too, more mature than Melissa, but seems to be unsure. Even though she says she's ready. As far as maturity goes, Jillian would be my pick.

I haven't watched every episode either but have found myself catching it the last few weeks - I thought Stephanie would be the perfect match for him with a little one of her own, who better to understand the single parent role than someone that's right in the thick of it.
Of the girls that are left, I'm rooting for Gillian, but Jason seems to not like her strength, which you've got to wonder about. I'm pulling for her 'cause she's from Canada! But I think it's her family that doesn't want to meet him, that could be a major problem.

I like Jillian out of the last of them. Can't stand Naomi, don't think she's all that pretty either. Stephanie had a weird stare that kinda creeped me out.

i think he realized steph really hasn't given up her dh...and not saying that's wrong, but it will be hard for her to fill a ghost's shoes...

I loved Stephanie for the person she is but I could never see her with Jason. I think he made the right decision sending her home. She was so gracious upon her departure. She should be an example to the others.

I'm rooting for Melissa..she's adorable. I hope she's ready though.

I liked Stephanie, she is graceful, elegant and genuine, but didn't think she was the right one for Jason. I wish she wouldn't wear so much blush.

last week I liked Molly, this week I'm not sure. Jillian's answer as to why she came on the bachelor has me worried. I don't care for Naomi. I like Melissa, but I wonder if she or any of the others for that matter are ready to settle down with a 3 year old. Jason's son comes first and he makes that very apparent.

I also like Stephanie. She took the news with such grace. Very classy lady. I don't like Naomi either. Melissa would be my choice.
