I've never refrigerated peanut butter. Organic or freshly ground nut butters might need refrigeration, but I could never stand them, I always buy commercial peanut butter. Here's what the Jif site says: Do I need to refrigerate Jif? In the first three months after opening, Jif doesn't require refrigeration. If your family doesn't gobble Jif up by then, you may want to refrigerate the peanut butter to help prevent flavor loss. And another site Commercial varieties require no refrigeration, can be kept up to six months after opening, and unopened jars can be stored up to one year in a cool, dark location. Peanut butter is not a good candidate for freezing. My daughter buys Nutella all the time and even shipped some to Iraq for her husband and he has no way to refrigerate anything. His peanut butter and Nutella do just fine.

It's no secret I love chocolate. But, Nutella doesn't taste like chocolate. At least, not good chocolate. To me, this product tastes cheap and highly processed, which it probably is. Still, if I were on a deserted island... However, when I brought home a jar of Nutella (about 2 years ago) Thumper went crazy over it. Once the boy picked up its scent, the entire jar had disappeared. Practicing quality control, I suppose. We all know moderation is key to healthy nutrition, and while this product may not be the worst thing to unleash onto your kids, try to tell them to use moderation. Well, Woody had some last night on his ice cream. Said it was too sweet for him so I asked my mum if she wanted it and she said SURE! So I'll give it to her. Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions, though. It's just too sweet for me, which is so not like me, but there's something about it I just don't like. Auntie Jodi- Gravey is fine and dandy but a little too lunchy! We laugh at her jiggly belly all the time, she's so fat. She could give Santa a run for his money in that department! But she's adorable and fun and sweet and she and Nosey Parker just love each other. They are running this scam together- If Daddy goes downstairs, they race him to his gun room and force him to play with them. If I go upstairs, they haul butt up there and make me shoot covered elastics down the long hall for them. We play Cat Quidditch. Gravey is the goalie, she likes to stop them, and Parker is a Seeker- she loves to chase them down. Sounds like a herd of wild buffalos to anyone on the 2nd floor, especially when there's a collision. :)
