Need vent in Washer/Dryer Closet. What kind?

My washer and dryer are in a closet which is about 3' x 6' (just an estimate). I am converting my dryer from electricity to gas. The gas installer said that I would need to get louvered doors or put a vent in the ceiling. An open attic is above the ceiling. The dryer already has a vent to the outdoors so I assume that the vent is to get air in for the gas to have oxygen so it can combust. My DH is totally against louvered doors (who ever thought a guy would have an opinion on door style!) so we will have to do the vent in the ceiling instead. Can any of you suggest what kind of vent I should install? I assume we are talking a simple flat vent with louvers and not one with a motor, right?
