Bite the bullet and buy LED recessed now, or wait and retrofit?

I have read with interest the posts about LED recessed lighting, in particular, the LR6 the lightguy likes, as well as the very cool square recessed Gallium Lighting LEDs. We're building a new house, and while I'd love to make it as energy efficient as possible, paying $130/recessed fixture makes me wince. What I want is an energy efficient dimmable fixture for the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The lighting plan calls for a total of 22 of these babies...nearly $3K just for the recessed lights if we go with the LR6, assuming that the $130 price tag includes all of the necessary hardware, bulbs, etc. And we haven't even started with the sconces and pendants for the house! So, I was thinking...does it make any sense to put in regular ol' recessed lights for now that would be compatible with the LR6, anticipating that these retrofit LEDs will drop in price within the next few years? Or should we just plan on eating more beans and rice, and shell out the $$ for the LEDs now?
