He's a Birthday Boy Again! Harry's SIX!

My little baby puppy had his sixth birthday today! For the past five years and nine months he has been my constant companion, my best buddy, my little sweetheart.

I never knew how sad and lonely my days were until this stinky little wild man came to fill them with joy and love. I've not had a lonely, or quiet moment since! LOL

I didn't get good photos this year. I'm going to reshoot some tomorrow. The chair he is on is the "lounger" I bought at a thrift store just for him. It's about 5' round, with a back like a sofa. I don't know what to call it; it's too big to be a pouf, and too low to be a loveseat. It's perfect for Harry, though.

His "cake," as always, was made from his favorite tidbits...green and red bell peppers, apple slices, brocolli sprigs, butter dots, a small meat ball of fresh venison, and a "confetti sprinkle" of shredded carrot.

Mom fed him some tidbits...

And Papa fed him some tidbits...

And he played a rowdy game of "Two" with his new tennis balls! (Please don't notice the nasty carpet. It will be gone this summer! The stain is where a slice of pizza hit the floor and I can't get the oil stain out.)

Happy Birthday Harry!!! I can't believe our little Harry is 6 years old. Where does the time go, seems like yesterday we were looking at his baby pictures.

Oh this is so sweet! I was late getting on the computer yesterday (due to the festivities!) and just now saw this post. Phylliss...the graphic of the dog in the paint can is just a tad true-to-life. Harry has been green, red, lilac, and beige so far. He always seems to get paint on his head. Yes, Harry started his day with a romp through the prairie. Wes was on snowshoes trying to keep up. They chased some rabbits, pointed some grouse, and came home tired, hungry, and cold. Thirty minutes later Harry was ready to go again. He sends big ole slobbery kisses and "Thank You" wags to everyone! He really was happy; even though I can't prove it by this photo. He was wanting his treats, and he'd taken some allergy medicine and was ready for bed.

Yappy Birthday, Harry! (no, that was not a typo!) My little terrier girl loves green bell pepper, too! She also loves cheese (especially the more-expensive Cracker Barrel) and tennis balls (but only the squeaky ones). But she would never keep that party hat on! I tried once. She let me know who's boss. Congrats on another wonderful year with Harry!

Oh my gosh! I love these pictures. The top one is my favorite. I love his Scooby-Doo party hat! How precious. It looks like he had a splendid birthday celebration.

How do you get him to eat his vegetables so well that they are his favorite snacks? My Stanley HATES all vegetables.

Hi Caroline! I had to revisit your post and the cute pics of Harry this morning..how he can make me smile! :)

And thank you for posting the pup pic..how cuuuute! How many litter mates did Harry have?

Just luv Harry looking down at his special cake..think I'll have to share this one with my fellow dog lovers and change my desktop today. :)

Shhhh..don't tell Harry I asked, but do his veggies give him gas? ;)
