Comments (40)Annie the cake is [was] so pretty. You did a great job with the transfers, especially for the first time. A hint for you and Di is if you mist, mist the cake insteadking/msg0623463521068.html"> Your Name: Your Email Address: Subject of Posting: Message: Optional Link URL:    Name of the Link: Information about Posting You must be logged in to post a message. Comments (14)I made one for my granddaughter the same way Susie said. I didn't use a real barbie doll as I didn't want to ruin the doll. But used a dollar store version and I also made her a court of 5 dolls too. The were made from a large muffin tin. It was so much fun and she loved it and so did her cousins that were there too. I just put the heads only after the cakes or muffins were baked. It was much cheaper than having it made. Mary...See MoreVegetarian Birthday Cake?
Comments (11)Thanks! I actually just found something like this in The Passionate Vegetarian. I do have a similar recipe that I have tried , but it used boiling water poured over the top of the other mixed ingredients and not stirred. That comes out like a pudding with cake on top so I was unsure of this recipe. Is it like a basic cake so I can frost and decorate it? Duh! I just read back over barnmom's post and she said she used it as a layer cake. The recipe in "TPV" uses 2/3 cup cocoa and 1/2 cup oil, but maybe I'll use the 3/4 cup cocoa. The recipe also suggests apple cider vinegar or lemon juice, do you always use white vinegar? I may have to do this early tomorrow instead of today. They already have severe thunderstorm warnings out and are talking about isolated tornadoes, not the best baking weather. It is hard to check your cake if your hiding in the basement!...See MoreNo birthday cake but COBBLER
