Wow, what a story. I can tell you right now that there is no way I would have gone through what you went through. I woulda simplified the menu completely once I discovered the bad chicken. Realizing that eveyrone would be expecting one thing and getting something else, I'd probalby just issue a rain check for the ditched menu. I think that friends would understand! But then again, I'm not known for being the nicest person around LOL. You are WAY nicer than me, that's obvious!! I congratulate you on going through with as much as you humanly could. Next time, rather than depend on your masculine ability (or inability?) to hear what the wife said the first time have her write it down and tack it on the fridge with a magnet. It's not that I don't have faith in your good intentions, it's just that I know how men are, I'm married to one. And it's not that they don't try, sometimes they do! But sometimes they just can't help it. That was not male bashing, by the way. Just that it's best to be realistic and figure out workarounds instead of hoping for miracles. And I mean that in the nicest possible way, as I know my own shortcomings and have learned to NOT plan for me to overcome them, but instead plan for how to work around them! LOL

Hi there, Pamela! Great to see you here again! I'm not sure this is the recipe you're looking for, as my notes say that it was posted by Nancy (WizardNM), not Sol. But it sounds delicious anyway. Sue ASIAN MARINATED CHICKEN BREASTS 5 LBS boneless skinless chicken breasts Marinade: 1 C veg. oil ¼ C sesame oil ¾ C soy sauce 1/3 C minced garlic ¼ C minced ginger 2/3 C minced cilantro 5-6 green onions, thinly sliced 1 tsp Black Pepper Combine marinade in a container large enough to hold the chicken. Refrigerate 4+ hours. Overnight is fine. Remove chicken from marinade and grill over med. hot fire. Done when thermometer registers 160°. Note: If only a small quantity of chicken is needed, you can divide chicken and marinade into freezer bags and freeze until needed. Chicken will be ready to cook as soon as thawed. Leftover cooked chicken makes a great sandwich either cold or reheated in the microwave. I like it heated with provolone, sliced chicken, tomato, lettuce and mayo. Also makes a great Asian Salad. Chop the chicken, lay over greens, sprinkle with mandarin oranges, roasted sunflower kernels, rice noodles and a sweet sour dressing.

It was amazing and the combination of spices was soooooo good, I would never have thought to combine that list of spices, but it works.....like crazy! I asked my friend at work today to lead me to my next Indian recipe. She laughed because she is trying to learn to cook more "American" dishes and here I am asking her to steer me toward flavorful Indian dishes! All I can say is that if you like layers of flavor and have not tried Indian food, it's amazing! Linda
