Here, for Okies, it is getting cold again. I am wondering, if I will work tomorrow, of if school will be cancelled again.

Seems like now, not only snow and ice, but "bitter cold", closes the schools.

When I think of the temps up north, I have to laugh.

I don't post as much as I used to.......don't know why.
I had a great day....had an MRI on my neck and will get the results tomorrow or Wednesday.
Apparently I have a narrow spinal canal and have a bone spur pressing on my spinal cord, which accounts for the problems I have been having with fine motor control in my hands and a very unsteady gait.
I was told six months ago all my symptoms were caused by anxiety but I didn't think so.
Guess I was right.
The weather was in the mid 60's today and more normal. It has been hot and dry here and our usually green hills are brown and ugly. And all our reservoirs are very low. Does not bode well for our agriculture or our ranchers or our vineyards.
My new housekeeper came today and she is excellent! Wow.....I love how she pays attention to detail.
Warmer weather with no rain predicted for the coming week.

I too have noticed it is a bit quiet lately.

Carol, I am also in CA. I heard we might get some "moisture", whatever that means on Thursday or Friday. We are on continous Spare the Air days. It sure is scary.

I don't post too often, but read posts several times a day.

They are predicting ice and snow for us on Tues. night and Wed. - it hasn't snowed here since 1989! This Thurs. it will be 68 and sunny!

Good luck with your MRI results, Carol. My husband was in a serious car accident a year ago and his latest MRI showed damage to his C4/C5. He is back in physical therapy (yesterday was day 3) to see if it helps. If not, more surgery will be done. He's already had rotator cuff surgery and had his bicep sewn back to his shoulder in his upper arm. The headaches are unreal because the nerves are being pinched off. He's had a headache since the accident, but it's gotten progressively worse. Crossing fingers the PT works.

Thinking of you Carol and Debby's DH. My DH joins you in the back club and can barely walk and has a lot of pain. Two car accidents did him in. Neither his fault.

I read a few times a day too and rarely post. Years ago, it used to be so busy but I think we lost a lot of people when Facebook was developed. I am not on Facebook but people have only so much time to be online. That is my theory anyway.

When I was still working (a long time ago), I found the KT. Since I worked long hours, there wasn't enough time to join in. I couldn't keep up because of what you said, Debby. It moved so fast that by the time I could get on here in the evening, there would be pages that had been posted since the evening before. I quit trying until I retired and had more time.

I'm still here! (Waving hello) I usually check in several times a day. I don't "do" much these due to ailments and pain, so when I need to rest the back, I usually check my computer and sometimes get stuck on it for while. Don't "do" Facebook much...just check on the Grandkids in Ok. and a few friends. Like most of you, in past years I didn't spend much time here... being healthy and into walking and gardening and just being busy..... and now I mostly read.
Unless we are traveling in our motorhome. We are heading out of the valley on Friday... if the passes are reasonably clear.... imagine going to lunch hundreds of miles away in Eugene and Salem.... but then we will spend a few days (weather permitting) on the coast. Think it might be whale watching time... or maybe not.

One of the things I liked back in the day, was Friday night dances, hosted by Joy-CA and they included music. I still have my dancing gifs on Photobucket. Don't know if they are allowed here or not.

Now with my arthritis problems, I might be able to at least do this:

I am so hooked on Facebook it's crazy. I don't really have a life though. LOL I go to work, come home have dinner and play on here. I just bought a book for my Kindle. It is much cheaper than I would have paid for the hard copy at work. I love true crime, especially books about serial killers and people who kidnap people. This is about the 3 women in Cleveland who were held for 10 years. I think I'll "force" myself to go offline and start reading again.

When I first started here I was a SAHM with 2 little boys..and then not to many months later #3 on the way...that # 3 will be 14 in 4 months!(yes, I know I owe some of you a picture)

I wasn't here way back when but I suspect Facebook has a lot to do with it. I'm not a Facebook person but I'm sure it has fulfilled the needs of those that like to stay in touch with their cyber buddies.
