Yes, I like it alot~~~~my DH and I watch it every week~~he does have a sour face almost all the time~~I like all of the people on the show also and want to live on that island myself.

I watched it a few times, liked it enough, but DH thinks it's boring. I can watch it by myself, I guess.

LOVE it! I'm hoping there may be more episodes as I've seen them all. When I saw the actor speaking to an interviewer once, he was sooooo different from his character. I think he's a good actor; for that matter, I think they're all good. Watching the show makes me want to move to Cornwall, or wherever this cute little village is supposed to be.

sjerin, I might have seen that same interview. He was really different from Don Martin. I don't think Doc Martin has smiled once in the shows I've seen. Such a beeeeeu-ti-ful setting, and I even like the music.

I've only seen a few episodes but like it. Especially enjoyed watching his mother put him in his place. It's not on at a convenient time for me. Watched online once when someone before mentioned they enjoyed the show.

I loved this series, which I just happened to discover on Netflix, so I've seen them all. All the characters are quirky and as mentioned, the setting is gorgeous.

I love this show and would also love to see where it is filmed. Portwenn is a fictional name for the village - it is actually a place called Port Isaac in Cornwall.

can watch them on-line though, I did find out. It
was shown on PBS here, but someplaces it is probably
on BBCA.

I really like it, too, when I watched it at one time, but I have the rest of it on Netflix. Glad they are doing another series.

Minnie, one of our PBS channels in Southern California showed a few episodes recently, and the positive response helped them decide to show more.

It is a British show, and ran four seasons, so there are a lot of episodes. Netflix has the entire series.

We love it! The good doctor has a deficit in social skills, and his interactions with the townspeople crack me up.

WOW Now for sure I gotta get NetFlix to see them all!

I adore this show. Our PBS station out of Binghamton, NY started showing it--but only the first 2 seasons. I found the other two on Netflix, and now can't wait for new episodes. I guess shooting starts in March:>>

I found a site that has free episodes of Doc Martin, divided into fifteen minute segments. They are listed in reverse, so you have to look carefully to find the season and episode number you want.

It works best for those who have a quick-loading computer.

Thank you, Petaloid. That's a good find. I think you can get them on Netflix to watch instantly, but I have only a limited number of hours that way.

Saw a few episodes on PBS, then plowed through them all on Netflix. Was sick this weekend, so had a marathon viewing! Wonderfully expressive actor, can't wait for season 5. Have so many favorite lines and moments. (Like what he said when he was giving Caroline an injection but looking at Danny. . .) Haven't gotten hooked on a show like this for a while. That said, though, wish they could have been a bit more consistent in some of the stories. Aunt Joan is such a big part of his life. But first episode says he hasn't seen her for 30 years, after his horrible parents kept him away. But he never saw her as an adult? She had met Edith when they were dating in college. As wrapped up as one gets in these characters, wish they could have paid more attention to things like this.

DH brought these DVD's home from our library last year. Can't wait for them to make the next batch, supposedly this year.

I prefered the first police constable and the second receptionist. (Second actress has it 'just right'.) Poor Martin -- what hideous parents! Maybe it's true that you look for your opposite-sex parent when you seek a mate -- almost landed him with another self-centered 'witch'.

I loved the incident where the teen-aged girl wanted him to remove a mole;
when he refused, she cut it off herself, causing profuse bleeding, & her friends ran squealing hysterically to Doc.

One of them asked fearfully, "Is she going to die?"

& he replied, "Yes. Unfortunately, not today."

Martin Clunes - Doc Martin was also in a comedy series called "Men Behaving Badly". It was made a few years ago.

He is very funny in that show, a completely different character to Doc Martin.

I love both shows, he is a gifted actor.
