Glenda - I only caught the last few minutes but it seems like they all spiritually connected on some level.

Last night was Tracey Gold and Carnie Wilson. I felt sorry for Carnie and the lack of bond with her husband.

I watched most of it. It was interesting. I think Gary Busey had some brain damage when he was in that accident. He's very child-like.

I watched both of them and i wanted to slap some sense into the parents of the gal that was in the beauty pagents.She was dumber than rocks. The second one made me cry,it brought back sooo many memories for me.I kinda lived that life all through high school.My mom died when i was 9,and when i was 13 i was sent to live with an aunt and uncle.The aunt treated me like that,uncle was always at work.I had to care for her 2 kids,and my grandfather(he had had a stroke),clean house,cook,laundry,and i mean with a ringer washer and hanging them out to dry.Plus going to the spring everyday to get water. I used to get migrains,and had very bad stomach aches.I toughed it out so i could graduate high school,which i did.After i graduated the wicked witch of the east,wouldn't let me go job hunting.Wanted me to stay home and take care of Grandad,her kids,the house etc.We got into a big fight,and i was able to call an older sister in another state,and she came and got me out of there,and took me to live with her.It was like going from hell to heaven!! Years later i ran into my cousins at a family reunion(the WW'S kids,i cared for) and the boy told me that he always thought i was his mom,and how sad he was when i left.Made me cry.As he got older he realized i was his cousin. Sorry,didn't mean to get carried away,that show just stirred up buried memories for me.I didn't think there was still people out there like that.It happened to me in the 50's. Kathi

I've seen it. Not with the celebrities. Ordinary people. I wouldn't put it on on purpose. While I'll watch a cop mystery, I will not put on the dramas that deal with extremes like SVU or Criminal Minds, and I don't do horror, so I would say that Wife Swap is better for my ears than those (junk TV is only on when I'm in the middle of doing something else, so I mostly listen. I find it less distracting than music). The problem with these kinds of shows is that the producers are so busy goosing up the drama that they ignore the more interesting reality that might be underneath, and they have a formula that constrains the people to do certain things rather than setting up a situation and seeing how it plays out. So instead of "unscripted", which is what they're officially called, you get poorly scripted and badly acted.

Hello Gardening friends, I have been so sick for the past 2 and a half weeks. I thought I was over it so I went back to work well I wasn't. Today is the first day out of the bed. I did received canyonwind package. Ann it was great. Thank you so very much. It really lifted my sick spirits. Ann sent me Handmade card of an American native mask. A recipe for Seminole Fried Green Tomatoes. I am going to try it. Xeriscaping Magazine 2 Native American designed kitchen towels. A pair of holiday socks. I watched it last night and also felt sooo bad for Carnie. I may watch tonight's show. Should be interesting.

It was really nice to see Tracey Gold and her husband. You don't see that many people still so in love after so many years together. It made me smile.

Georgysmom, I agree with you -- either accident-related damage or maybe overuse of recreational drugs.

But I had my fill of him on Celebrity Apprentice!

The Tracey/Carnie swap was interesting.

I felt bad when Carnie had just come home from a job somewhere, and that first interaction with the husband (he wanted her to listen to some of the music he was working on, and she just looked at him like he said the most asinine thing), well, I just knew that's a relationship that needed therapy. She was stressed, yes, but as the show wore on, it was clear she was 24/7 stressed. Even with the household help and her aunt (?) helping her.

I like the original Wife Swap shows better, tho, cuz they swapped some very interesting people -- survivalists, "tiger moms," a couple who acted as superheroes, etc. Not sure this celebrity version is more than a peek into celebrities' lives, homes, families, rather than the "opening of minds" that the original shows eventually reached. Well, sometimes, that is.

I was amazed how sloppy Carnie's house was. I saw both shows and all the people seemed nice.

I watched the first one and wish I had known the second was on last night. I thought it would be next week. Is it on every night? The first show made me want to clean my house.
