No recipe for that, but as well you may want to try this trick which I saw at a friend's afternoon tea party where she had a fruit punch bowl. She froze a small bowl of punch (without the alcohol) until it was rock hard and then let it float in the punch bowl (which had the alcohol) to keep it chilled. It hardly melted at all over the space of a couple of hours. And the hostess told me afterwards that she normally takes the leftover chunk, puts it back in the same little bowl and tops it up with more fruit juice or punch mixture (without the alcohol) and pops it back in the deep freeze for next time.
Seems to work. The photo was taken after we had dipped the punch bowl nearly dry!

You can buy premade margaritas in a bucket - I think you have to add the tequila - then freeze. It is great to take camping or to the beach - or to feed a crowd. I haven't used them in a few years, but I think you can buy them at places like Costcos & Sams & liquor stores. Not top shelf margaritas - but convenient!

Could it have been Bourbon Slush. I make this all the time:
1 gal. of boiling water
4 tea bags
1/4 cup sugar
1 small can of frozen lemonade
1 small can frozen OJ
1 small can of frozen Limeade
1 bottle of bourbon
Pour boiling water over tea bags in a large plastic bucket. Steep 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Freeze over night. Spoon into large glasses. Add a splash of lemon/lime soda and sit back and enjoy! Gina

This is the recipe that my MIL uses all the time. I've had it and it is very good.

SLUSH

1 6-ounce can frozen lemonade
1 6-ounce can frozen orange juice
1 cup sugar
1 cup strong tea
4 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup vodka
3/4 cup light rum

Combine all ingredients. Freeze. Stir. Put slush in glass and pour 7-Up over top.

At the holiday I use 2 cans of Cran-raspberry juice.

Slush Drink

4 tea bags
2 cups boiling water
4 cups cold water
1 (12 oz) can frozen orange juice
1 (12 oz) can frozen lemonade
1 (12 oz) can frozen limeade
2-1/2 cups rum or other liquor
7-Up or ginger ale

Soak tea bags in boiling water for 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Add 2-1/2 cups of rum or vodka, or your other favorite liquor. Mix in a covered container and freeze.

Scoop into glasses, filling half full. Add ginger ale or 7-Up to remaining half of glass.

*May substitute the orange juice with a peach drink or fruit punch.

Any fruity punch that contains 1/4 of the mix as 60 proof alcohol will freeze to a slush, but those that come in a tub are really easy and really good! Just scoop them out into a stemmed glass and enjoy!

I just purchased a strawberry margarita mix in a tub...all you do is add tequila and freeze...can't get much easier than that! With that said...do you think it would be bad to add citron vodka instead of tequila? I have two large bottles of vodka.

Well...at 7:15 this AM I tasted it and I have to say it is very good...a bit sweet for this time of day, but with the 91 degrees we are expecting today I am sure it will hit the spot.

I will let you know what everyone thinks!

Now that we are getting such beautiful local peaches, I made a double batch of cubes this morning for poolside drinks later today.

BELLINI FREEZE

4 fresh ripe peaches, peeled
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbs. almond liqueur
1 (750 ml) bottle Asti Spumante or other sweet sparking white wine, chilled

Remove peach pits and quarter peaches. In blender or food processor, puree peaches and sugar until almost smooth. Add almond liqueur; process 2 to 3 seconds to blend. Pour into a 9" X 5" loaf pan. Cover with foil or plastic wrap. Place in freezer, freeze until almost firm, 1 to 3 hours. Cut 3 lengthwise rows and 8 crosswise rows through partially frozen mixture. Replace cover and return to freezer; freeze until firm, 1 to 3 hours. Place in refrigerator to soften slightly 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

To serve, place 3 pieces of frozen mixture in each of 8 sherbet glasses or champagne glasses. Pour wine over frozen mixture. Serve with a spoon. Makes 8 servings.

Those bellini freeze drinks sound wonderful and I think I will have to try them.

My frozen strawberry margarits were so yummy...even with the vodka. I did not realize that after we were done, all I had to do was put the bucket back in the freezer for another day (like tonight maybe :)
