Comments (3)LAdancer: Because a particular slab is discontinued does not necessarily mean it it is unavailable. Someone's probably got a sheet or two somewhere and is anxious to get rid of a discontinued series, however, that savings may be offset by shipping costs. Good luck in your hunt....See MoreCaesarstone Calacatta
Comments (73)I wish the pictures were better. It really doesn't show the depth of colors. Thank you everyone for your kind words! It means a lot to me since the process of this renovation was so excrutiating. It was really difficult to find the time to do everything--order samples, which sink, which faucet, which appliances, doors vs drawers, what floor material, what backsplash tiles, what lighting, what colors, materials, etc. Hence, the burnout & no paint, light fixtures (other than the recessed) nor window dressings yet. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but next time I would get a designer. It was a lot to do living in another city & with a full-time + job. To answer your questions, yes, that is a Bosch dishwasher -- pretty scary that you can tell! I don't know the exact measurement of the counter overhang, but my guess is that it is about 1/8" to 1/4". It is pretty flush near the doorway though since I squeezed as much cabinetry in as I could. jcollins84 & rcolburn99, your kitchens are going to be amazing! How can they not be? You picked an awesome countertop! :)...See MoreAny feedback on Caesarstone Concrete?
Comments (41)Care and Maintenance Honed, Concrete and Rough surfaces may require additional daily and weekly care. Due to the nature of the surface design, it is recommended that common household spills like liquid droplets and rings are dried immediately. As with any matte product, owners of Concrete, Honed and Rough finishes may experience seeing an increase in smudges from everyday living. Weekly, the surface should be cleaned with Soft Scrub Liquid Gel with Bleach and thoroughly dried. We encourage you to order a sample of our products that you are considering. When you receive your sample, try treating it to a few different scenarios that you may face in your kitchen; spill something on it, touch it with greasy fingers, clean it. This will help you understand how the surface responds to your daily life and how comfortable you feel with it. Complete Caesarstone Surface Care and Maintenance is available here and to view our Collections and order a sample, please visit our Collections page. https://www.caesarstoneus.com/customer-care/finishes/...See MoreCaesarstone grade infomation?
Comments (19)Came across this because I am considering putting clamshell in my kitchen and want to know what group it fell into. I am a little surprised at some of the prices I have seen listed here. We just had Cambria Ironsbridge put in for two countertops in our masterbath, one in our hall bath, and a double sink counter in the kids bath, all with backsplashes and under mount sinks included for $4600. The slab itself was just under $2400 and came with the all the paperwork and warranty info. I can’t imagine Ceaserstone being that much more expensive. Before settling on the Cambria (for bathrooms)we visited showrooms for Cambria, Ceaserstone, and Silestone. Reps at all three made a point to tell us that matte/honed/textured quartz require more maintenance and care on what is set down on them. For us, polished is the way to go....See Morefestusbodine
