Help me find a post please...primer on curtains

There was a recent post which cited a designers blog about how to properly hang/measure/decorate with curtains. I didn't add it as a favorite which I usually do automatically and now I can't find it. I've been through all the December posts, it's probably right there but I still can't find it.

Do you recall the post? The blog?

Maybe you are thinking of the Cote de Texas blog? She named the top 10 design elements, and number 4 was drapes and curtains.

Thank you graywings, that was the blog referred to. And yes, I did already have Cote de Texas as a favorite just not that particular page so now that's a favorite too. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I think I know who you are trying to find but I can't remember her name. It was something like mycountryhome. Ask over on decorating because I think she owned a restaurant and did something very nice for another member's son once. I do believe she had 19 or 20 kids. They ran into trouble completing their build and I think someone from gardenweb directed them to some kind of farm loan. Someone on decorating will know.

*places bag over head* :-/ I'm officially de-lurking to ask for help. I thought I had bookmarked the page but for the life of me I can't find it! Here is what I remember: It was a rental home remodel. Adorable old home they refinished wood floors re-created amazing woodwork around the windows (the original had to be removed). There were some cute simple scalloped edge window treatments of some sort. The kitchen had grey walls and home Depot white cabinets and there was a very narrow shelf placed next to the refrigerator. I also remember a cool curved wall and a mixture of paint colors in the various rooms, grey, yellow, pink. Officially..... Hello! Was it c2g? This is the thread/pic I was recalling (although the tree is planted and not still in a pot): http://forums2.gardenweb.com/discussions/1727684/fall-planting-howd-i-do-lots-of-pics?n=30 I haven't seen anything about the rock he needed to move but GW is only letting me go back 165 pages (to July of 2013) unless I search something specific (I tried 'Serviceberry' because I thought in one or more of the threads he was asking about one or bought one (and for some reason I'm remembering him wanting it near a garage?). Anyways, if this isn't the one you're looking for I'll search more later.

Bump because I want to know too!

That Cote de Texas site was soooo helpful. I am in the process of putting up floor to ceiling silk-y panels with a woven shade mounted at the ceiling. Her pictures confirmed that I was doing the right thing! It was enough inspiration for me to get to it and start installing!

I am still trying to determine if I want to add another layer of material, how and where would it go? I would like a layer of sheers in there somewhere--maybe behind the woven bamboo shade? (In front would look dumb because you could see the woven shade behind it) I would just want to pull these closed at night once in a while.

I have only done my family room window so far, next up is the slider in the kitchen and I can't wait to share the pictures with everybody who has helped me here.

So, I'm bumping away for more window ideas.
