HELP!!! Anyone sell on e-bay?

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum, but have been on cooking forum for about 7 years and used to hang out at bulding a home and decorating, too!

Someone suggested I post this here, that you were all a very friendly bunch, and very knowledgeable about this and many, many other things! LOL

I am new to selling and have sold several items to the same bidder. I can't figure out how to revise an invoice to combine the shipping on it. I am following the instructions on the help page, but it says to choose the "revise an invoice" option from the "action" menu. There is no such option! HELP! How do I do this?

Linda, go to your Summary page and find one of the auctions this bidder won. To the right of the Total Price you should see a drop-down menu. If you've already sent an invoice for this item, the menu should include Send Revised Invoice. If you haven't sent an invoice, you should see the Send Invoice option. If you click either of these, all the auctions won by this bidder should appear on the invoice. You can then make changes to the shipping. Click on Preview Invoice to see it before sending.

Thanks, Susan. I have been trying that.

I haven't sent an invoice yet, but when I use the Send an Invoice option, it won't let me manipulate the shipping cost on the invoice . Do I have to send and invoice with the full shipping and then send a revised one? Will it let me change the shipping charge if I do that?

I just received an order from Durham Botanicals last week. Great looking plants and he has several varieties. You'll have to tell him what you want and he can verify if he has it. He wants orders of 6 or more as a minimum. I got together with two people from work to order. You can email him at - chris@durhambotanicials.com. I am very happy with the quality of the plants. He has two different variegated adeniums too. I have attached a pic of several we purchased from Chris. He is also on facebook in the adenium groups. Purely marketing considerations. A) Ariocarpus are highly collectible, and subsequently have a lot of people searching eBay for them. These sellers figure that although the plant not be what they are actually looking for, they might be inspired to buy one. B) However, particularly in the case of Lophophora, they are just trying to get around the fact that is is illegal to sell this plant in the US (and other countries I'd guess). Of course the people at eBay can't tell the difference between true Ariocarpus and peyote, so the auctions continue...

If you add it to your "watch" list, you will be able to see the time left for the listing. It really is small in size, isn't it?. Why didn't I think of that?? (Because I have the KT, and I'm spoiled.) Yes, it's awfully small, and faded, I'm sure. It would be nice to have, but for not very much money. I have some similar memorabilia of his. I have no idea what "lg" means. Certainly not "large." LOL I found it because I have a standing search request on eBay for any items that contain the word Luckstone, and also one for "Alice Campbell," my grandmother (his wife) and also an opera singer. A different Alice Campbell was a novelist from around the time time period, so unfortunately I get notifications whenever her books are listed on eBay. But no big deal. I bought another picture of my grandfather on eBay--not his most flattering, but an interesting photo. I also found a listing that claimed to be selling a photo of Harry Luckstone, but it wasn't him. I wrote to the seller, who ignored me. ;-)

I love to look at property on ebay. I actually inquired about one of them, too, although it was really a pipe dream and I had no business buying a beach cottage in Nova Scotia. I quickly came to my senses when realized how far Nova Scotia is from where I live now. I don't know how often serious, non-dreamer buyers look on ebay. I doubt anyone will buy your house on ebay. It's an advertising tool. Also, ebay's fees combined with Paypal have gotten pretty enormous and I think you would pay more in fees total to ebay than you would to a RE agent. But $150 for 30 days of advertising reaching a gazillion peeps...that might be worth trying, depending on what sort of property it was. I was looking at beach property, muppy had interested parties but was selling horse property...those are much more exotic than just a regular house in a regular area. I never ever look for those. I can see those walking out my front door. I have bought and sold a few homes and my opinion is that for your first sell, the professional help of a REA might be an excellent idea. No, I don't think you have to send an invoice with the full shipping. What happens when you try to change the shipping? I'm hoping one of the KT Power Sellers will jump in here.....

There should be a place at the bottom of the invoice you are sending that says recalculate. Put a check by all the auctions your buyer bought, then use the recalucate and put in whatever the shipping cost will be. Be sure you preview the invoice before you send it to make sure you have it right.

I usually just go to pay pal and send them a request for money and you can just fill in the amounts.

Try this.
To combine multiple items: From the Sold View in your My eBay Page, click the sales record for one of the items. This should determine if there are other items that qualify to be combined into a single order and provides you with the option to combine the items.
