First, switch out the loveseat and the couch. That will open up the walkway through the room. You need to put the smaller loveseat sticking out into the room, and use the long window wall space for the larger couch, rather than the way they are now. Put the two pieces at right angles to one another (NO other angles, please) , and use the smaller round table that is by the spider chair as the end table between the couch and loveseat. The end table that you have there now is too big and takes up too much space.

Also, check the tv cabinet - I don't think it is angled evenly in the corner.

Take the demilune table out of the corner on the end wall - it is too big for that spot. Take the large table that you were using as an end table by the couch, and put that on the side wall, not the end wall, in that area. Add a Lamp and mirror there. Take the tall floor plant and put down in that corner.

Take the plant on the plant stand and move it to the corner opposite the corner where the tv is. It will add a bit of softness and color there.

Keep the spider chair by the left side of the tv cabinet, and use the lower oval side table there with lamp.

Put the wing chair to the right side of the tv cabinet, and use the demilune table that had been at the end of the room beside it as an end table with a lamp.

No shelf with pix leaning on it above the chair. That would be nice on a short wall, with some other shelves along for the ride, but not as a single piece on that big space.

Take the two pix that are hanging on either side of the window and hang those as a pair side-by-side over the wing chair and table. DON'T center them on the open wall space, but center them on the chair-table combo. They are too separated as they are being used now on either side of the huge window.

I think the loveseat and sofa on an angle worked for reno because her room was modern and open. Your room is traditional and smaller, so I think a more conventional arrangement will look better. Sofa and loveseat in an L-configuration at a right-angle to the room sounds more like it.

Keep pushing on. You will figure it out! It took me 2 1/2 years to figure out the furniture arrangement in my living room. :)

I'm not very good at furniture arrangement from pictures at all so I don't have much to offer except that I like the tall plant away from the tall tv cabinet better than next to it. They're both taller than anything else in the room and having them separated helps to balance the room better. Love the pieces you have in the room though, and your colors work perfectly together!

The larger table infront of the tall plant almost seems about 4"ish too deep.

I like the plant in the corner. How do you like it? Once you get things in places that feel comfortable, you should live with it for a few days and than see what needs tweeking.

I may be the only one of this forum to think this, but I think your TV cabinet needs to be on the wall that you see when you first walk into the room. That wall is so bare, and you have so many little things trying to fill it up.

I'd center it on that wall - or maybe a tad off center, just have to see what it looks like. I'd either do wall art, sconces or something to balance on either side on the wall.

I'd try both chairs with a small table inbetween on the wall by the kitchen. I like the chest and mirror much better on the wall you have it. It was too large a chest for the wall that backed up to the foyer.

I'd like to see what the room looks like with the TV cabinet moved over if it's not too much effort!

I'm all about trying the e. stand in the center but I'm going to need DH's help. He thinks it was "fine" before and football's on right now. lol

If I would move the stand to the main wall (would really help solve that art problem and I like sconces) I'd have to get rid of a table. The large one on the main wall I really like, the short one was my Mom's. What if I were to put the round table between the two chairs on the kitchen wall and put the large table where the round one is now between the sofas? I was thinking maybe I could use either the round table or the small table as a 2nd nightstand in our bedroom. Hmmm... Wouldn't it start to look cluttered again with the e.stand, couch and plant stand all in the same area?

Since we don't have another tv room and spend a good bit of time in here it wouldn't be practical for us to have the smaller chairs across from the tv.

I would center the sofa in front of the window and put the loveseat opposite it, then center the TV on the short wall.

I think the corner look too busy. I do like tall things in corners. I would just put the tall plant in the corner without the table. Is that a real plant? Looks very healthy.

I think Les has the arrangement thought out the best way for your room. The long couch looks much better on the window wall, and having the love seat as the floating angle gives you much more space for walking around. It's really just a matter of getting the right tables into the right positions and making sure that the TV unit is properly angled in the corner. If you put the demilune table over at the end of the couch, move it closer to the couch end, and bring the wing chair closer to the couch, too. Then people can reach that table from the couch or the wing chair easily. It should be accessible to both.

Don't worry about what lamp should go where until you get the whole furniture layout perfected the best way. Lamps are the easiest accessories to change. Artwork comes last, so don't worry about that yet, either.

We know the layout of this room has always been a challenge, but I do think Les has the perspective right. I've never known anyone who could visualize how it should be like Les can, and come up with such a well thought out solution.

Shee, did you ever try couch and loveseat as you have them right now, (but maybe scooted over to center on the window), EC back where you had it in the pic in your 14:04 post, and the 2 side chairs on the wall that has the spider back chair now, with a table between them? Not sure there is enough room, but that seems like it would be good for conversation and tv watching and would look good too.

Roseabby - No, that plant is fake. I think it's pretty realistic looking IRL. Even has some brown spots. The fern in the corner is the only real plant because of the cats and it's about a done for, ha.

Oh, much like the 13:08 post, but straighten up the couch and loveseat and add the spider-back chair and table!

Bungalow - Hmmm.. IRL the room just didn't feel wide enough. It was awkwardly crammed more so than what it appears in the photos. Also having tables in the middle was a problem with the lamps. Where would you put the web back chair and tables?

Oh, don't angle the furniture again like in the 13:08 post, that arrangement looked so cramped and awkward - I don't think you want to go there again. I do think the layout in the 15:15 post is so much nicer, and with the TV unit at the right angle in the corner, it looks as though the seating all has a view of the TV.
Still debating on view 1 or view 2 as far as the tables go, but I think view 2 looks much better.

Sofa flat against window wall, table at end, loveseat at right angle to sofa (les' suggestion), entertainment center centered on the only unbroken wall, wing chair and web-backed chair on the wall that backs to your kitchen with a lamp table between them.

This stuff is hard to convey with words! Perhaps you should give each of your walls names. :)

We have similar tastes, bun feet overstuffed furniture. My chairs and ottomans arrived, I did post a picture for you, did you see it??? Now I need to add panels like yours, and either a silhouette, or wood blinds. Do you plan to add blinds for privacy?? Do you ever close your panels for privacy??

At one point I considered wood blinds but they'd be a nightmare to dust. The panels are only stationary. I didn't want to have to always be messing with the curtains. We don't have any houses out front but if I needed the privacy I'd add lined woven romans. I may still add them sometime in the future.
