Smooth here, I just can't like crunchy peanut butter.

Me being a peanut butter lover, I sometimes go to Fresh Market and grind my own.

And their almond butter that you grind is awesome, but pricey.

My husband prefers Jif smooth and I prefer chunky. I only eat peanut butter on pancakes though.

Cruising, I found the peanut butter jar at the breakfast buffet.

So I eat brown bread spread with pb and bacon!

13 more days and I'll be having my favorite cruise breakfast!

Any famous name brand. It has been my observation that every time they have a recall of peanut buttter it is almost always for those no-name store brands. I think they buy up the 'seconds' and are more likely to have mold or pathogens.

Glenda, I made your brown bread recipe this week, Peanut butter was wonderful on it. Needless to say, the bread was good alone, I could have eaten the entire loaf myself. You all have mentioned some brands that I haven't checked out. Strange, I do not like crunchy. Just the smooth.

Has to be Jif--it has a different taste, because they add a touch of molasses, I think?

Besides on PB & J sandwiches (made with my own homemade grape jelly from my homegrown grapes), I like PB and bacon sandwiches, PB and honey sandwiches, melted PB over ice cream, PB cookies, and--of course--PB off a spoon.

but even better than Peanut Butter? Almond butter!!! YUM. That's my alltime favorite--on whole wheat bread with some seedless strawberry preserves. That's the BEST sandwich of all time.

But, when making peanut butter milkshakes, we use Laura Scudder's Natural Nutty. (Never pour the oil off the top! Mix it in!)

I also use the Laura Scudder's Natural Nutty when making peanut butter balls. (With the oil mixed in.)

I only cook with it...cookies...buckeyes...but my hubster prefers Jif Extra Crunchy!

What a timely thread. DH had a Jif and bacon sandwich on toasted honey wheat toast tonight. I had a Fluffernutter with Marion berry preserves.
He likes smooth Jif and if he's really good I get him the honey roasted at the deli. Me, I don't remember eating alot of peanut butter as a kid, so I'm not fussy.

Simply Jif is the PB of choice but since we have been in NM we have been buying Kroger brand and it is really good.It is usually on sale for $1.00 a jar.I've never heard a bad report on the brand.We prefer the smooth.

We buy the store brand smooth. If I had to pick a brand it would be Kraft, but only because we like the teddy bears on the jar ;).

As a kid my brother LOVED Peter Pan. I had some recently. It was like peanut butter flavoured corn syrup. I remember we liked it because it was sweet, but this was ridiculous!

For myself I like the all natural peanut butter, one brand has a touch of sea salt in it and it is very good. But it has to be kept in the fridge, which makes it too thick to spread.

Skippy, either smooth or crunchy, but usually smooth. Ooh, and don't forget peanut butter cookies:-)

Jif smooth. I used to like crunchy when it was still spreadable but these days everything is super crunchy or extra crunchy to the point that you might as well just eat a jar of nuts.

You are suppose to stir the oil in - not pour it off.

But, if you prefer to pour it off save it for stir-fry. Peanut oil has a higher smoke point and gives a nice flavor to things.

I loved peanut butter and when I could eat it I preferred the smooth. We used to buy York peanut butter, it had a peanut on top of the peanut butter. My Mom loved chunky.

I buy Nutella now - and have to limit myself because I am like the way Glenda is with her peanut butter. LOLOL

Last week I pretended I was eating a peanut butter and jam sandwich. I used raspberry jam and lite cream cheese. Together they gave me the same mouth feel just like peanut butter and jam would. I could almost imagine the smell. LOL

I seldom eat peanut butter anymore as it does not agree with me, but my favorite if I would eat it would be Jif, either smooth or crunchy.

Skippy creamy was my favorite for a long time but they changed the recipe and my tastes changed so most any kind was fine. Now I've gotten to like the Skippy "Natural" I think it's called, with the dark lid. Also the honey roasted is pretty good too. Haven't had Jif in a long time but have been meaning to try it. Although I often buy by price and which is on sale at a price I will pay. It's one of the things I set limits on for pricing. I grew up on PB sandwiches every day, well almost every day in grade school. Still like it though and peanut butter cookies are great. But the PB cookie dough is probably even better! And yes, I will eat it with the raw egg in there! I'm west of the Mississippi... barely.

I don't eat peanut butter. I eat almond butter. It tastes better and it's healthier. It's also a lot more expensive.

I haven't eaten PB in years. The last time I bought some Jif's to use in PB Cookies I threw out the remainder of the jar after a couple of months. Neither DH nor I ate it.

As a child I liked it once in a while in a sandwich with sweet pickles.

I like either Skippy, Jif or Peter Pan smooth reduced fat.

The only peanut butter I like is Smuckers Natuaral. Chunky perferred. Most of the other brands just taste too sweet to me.

I usually buy Jif. Like someone else said, I used to buy crunchy but now find it hard to spread so I buy creamy.

My store brand of natural peanut butter. Just peanuts and salt--no other ingredients. I like Smuckers Natural, too.

Another vote for Jif smooth.

One thing for sure, we love our peanut butter. A day without peanut butter for me, would be like a day without sunshine. Not sure of the stats, looks like Jif is very popular. That is my favorite brand, but I am always open to different brands. Just think this is a great food, and my mother in her 90's, still eats it everyday.

Peter Pan or Jif smooth, right off the spoon.

Tried all the majors and I decided maybe 20 years ago I liked Peter Pan. To me it had more of the peanut taste and best right off the spoon.
