Dallas (series) Season 2 starts tonight!

at 9 PM, channel TNT (138 on Dish TV).

There will be 2 one hour episodes tonight.

Last night they ran some episodes of last seasons shows, but I missed them. It would have been nice to have had a refresher on them because with the series having so many new members, I find it a little hard to follow.

I'm hooked though and will be tuning in.

J.R. (Larry Hagman) will be in some of the episodes since they were recorded before his death. He will be missed so much.

I'm hooked. The acting isn't as good as the old days, but it's still good enough to keep me watching. The writing is good,.... you aren't sure what, or who, may happen next!

Too much information too fast!! I agree. I really had to pay attention and am still confused about some things, but guess they work themselves out. JR is sad and needs to be left out of this new program. If they would just keep his hat on and trim those awful eyebrows, he would be fine by me. I liked him, and the show once he showed his 'real self' and started scheming. What is this about Christopher being a "foundling"? Is he Bobby's by some affair? Bobby's first wife, Pam, couldn't have children, so they adopted Christopher when he was a baby. I was REALLY disappointed in the Cattle Barrons Ball. I too thought many of those attending the ball weren't very well dressed. Like any new series, I think it takes a while to get 'into' and liking it. Ray, though he wasn't shown much, didn't change much, imho. Sue Ellen has aged gracefully. Lucy, (Charlene Tilton) is heavier than ever.

anybody still watching??? i'm all caught up as of last night. when i first started watching, i wasn't really sure if i liked it. a little deep, violent, edge of my seat, straining to hear every word so as not miss anything, not all happily ever after type. tv for me is escapism for the most part. of course i like some moving shows but for the most part i like mindless shows, reality, home shows and sports. i don't watch much so its just a way to wind down at night, more or less. but this show sucked me in and held me. i think they cast it really well. the actress playing beth is amazing. the scenery is gorgeous, now i want to go Yellowstone!! what do u guys think so far, for those who are caught up?? like, love or stopped watching?? John - didn't like what i saw in the last episode, i'm nervous for him!! anyone know if its renewed for another season, or is this it???

Arcy, the show is actually based on a real doctor and real events. Christopher Duntsch - Wikipedia Spoiler Alert (quote from Wiki) . . . . . . . Christopher Daniel Duntsch (born April 3, 1971) is a former American neurosurgeon who has been nicknamed Dr. D. and Dr. Death for gross malpractice resulting in the maiming of several patients' spines and killing two of them while working at hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Duntsch was accused of injuring 33 out of 38 patients in less than two years before his license was revoked by the Texas Medical Board. I am also a fan. I have read that yes all loose will be tied up. I find it interesting that shows are planned with an end date. Grace and Frankie is another example. I “watch” the show with my sister. We text our reactions to each other.

I agree with Foggy. When we first started watching it last year, I was meh on it. The acting was second-rate, imo.
But the show grew on me, and I got to really like it.

I agree...it'll never be the original Dallas...but it keeps my interest...

Have they ever mentioned Pam on the new show? How did they write her off the original? I don't remember!

I had Steve Kanaly on a flight several years ago...he was very nice...I knew his voice before I saw his face! I was on the floor setting up the beverage cart and he came back and asked me for something...i thought...mmm I know that voice...boy was I surprised when I turned around and saw him standing there!!

Yes, near the end of the show, JR said to Barnes' daughter, whose first name is Pamela, that "she wouldn't be the first Pamela he's gotten rid of". (or something to that effect) I forgot what happened to her. Did JR arrange an accident?
