I never was a fan although I peeked in once in a while I hope it pleases those who have been waiting for the new series.

I hope it lives up to its reputation. Is that possible after all this time, and the "Stuff" that is allowed on TV now?

I used to love the old show so I turned it on tonight. I doubt I'll watch it though. Too depressing to see every old. Two Desperate Housewives characters are on the show.

I was disappointed. Too much information too fast!! At this point I do not care about Christopher (like Bobby we need to)yet, they did not show enough "good" in him. JR is sad and needs to be left out of this new program. Who cares!! What is this about Christopher being a "foundling"? Is he Bobby's by some affair? They really needed to start slower woo us more. I feel like I was on a two hour roller coaster and I could care less if I ever get back on. I was REALLY disappointed in the Cattle Barrons Ball. Where were the over the top dresses, jewels....again they missed the boat?! They do not seem to know why we were so intrigued by the original series. I won't be turning in again, on purpose.

I watched about ten minutes, fell asleep, when I awoke it was all over. Yawn...

I agree. I really had to pay attention and am still confused about some things, but guess they work themselves out.

If they would just keep his hat on and trim those awful eyebrows, he would be fine by me. I liked him, and the show once he showed his 'real self' and started scheming.

What is this about Christopher being a "foundling"? Is he Bobby's by some affair? Bobby's first wife, Pam, couldn't have children, so they adopted Christopher when he was a baby.

I too thought many of those attending the ball weren't very well dressed.

Like any new series, I think it takes a while to get 'into' and liking it.

Ray, though he wasn't shown much, didn't change much, imho. Sue Ellen has aged gracefully. Lucy, (Charlene Tilton) is heavier than ever.

Arcy - perfect description. Too much info. too fast. I felt like I was watching a 2 hour special titled "Dallas - 20 years later"

I fell asleep after the first hour and even though I taped it I won't bother watching the rest or tuning in again.

Well, I loved it. So many plot twist and turns. WOW!

I do like Christopher but his new wife and her brother aren't what they seem to be.

John Ross is his father's son.

JR is just as conniving as he ever was.

Don't like that Bobby is sick.

Can't wait to see more.

Won't watch it again, but my taste in TV has changed since I used to be a fan. Ray looks almost the same. Lucy, not so much. The plot might have worked then but it's too staid today. I even forgot Christopher was adopted. I forget from one week to the next...lol How do they expect people to remember for decades? Beside some viewers weren't even born then..lol

I was so excited to see it come back and have been waiting..I enjoyed ever minute but had a hard time keeping up, lol.....There was a lot of "stuff" going on....
I was disappointed in the dresses worn for the ball, not like it used to be...It is strange to see the original people back in their roles, aging just lie the rest of us....Will be glued to the set each week or whenever it's on.....

I know about Pam and Bobbi but I still think there was something about Christopher being Bobbies with another woman...and "foundling" is not the same as adoption in my mind. Oh well it matters not, I won't be tuning in again.

I liked it. I'll give it a few more tries to see if I love it.

We just finished watching it.

We didn't see the Cattle Baron's Ball......just the wedding.

We're sure wondering what's going to happen when Marti (sp) buys Southfork. Seems that she's playing the 3 men.

I did like it, but here are my criticisms:

- I also don't like that Bobby is sick
- I think the person playing John Ross is overacting, and Marta overacted a bit too
- JR's eyebrows were distracting, in my opinion
- too many twists and turns in my opinion too.

It does take a while for a show to get a "rhythm", and I did think it was well done for the most part.
