Yes, but it won't be "The Closer". It'll be "Major Crimes" and have a different style to it. Sounds like it'll be a bit more like "Law and Order", it'll start out with the crime and go thru the conviction.

Ã¢ÂÂIn Ã¢ÂÂMajor Crimes, the LAPD joins forces with the district attorneyÃ¢ÂÂs office to get convictions in murder cases strong enough to cut down the expense of trying murder cases. Ã¢ÂÂÃ¢ÂÂThe CloserÃ¢ÂÂ ended with a confession. We now end with a conviction.Ã¢ÂÂ

Ã¢ÂÂThe CloserÃ¢ÂÂ returns tonight (July 9) at 9pm on TNT for its final six episodes while Major Crimes is all set to debut on Aug. 13, immediately following the final Ã¢ÂÂCloser,Ã¢ÂÂ and will pick up some of the threads."

It won't have Brenda Leigh Johnson/Kyra Sedgwick , which is a crime all on its own. :(

Yes, Mark, I find that wind is a bigger issue that how much sunlight to give them while hardening off. A 6-12" plant that isn't used to the wind will be trashed by less than a 10mph wind. The trick is to find sunny warm days with little to no wind or find a spot that is well sheltered from the wind yet gets the right amount of sun exposure. A cardboard box is one solution. And as for support, check out bamboo skewers. There are dirt cheap and work great for plants up to about 10". They are about a foot long and you can get them at dollar stores, probably walmart and other places. maybe check the craft section at walmart. But you get about 30 for a buck. Once your plants get any bigger, you will probably need something more substantial. Your plants look just about the right size for the bamboo skewers. Bruce.

Pammy, you weren't the only one who was put off by the accent. I'm a northerner who lived just south of Atlanta for 2+ yrs. I like the southern accent, but found Brenda's phony, I still do. I resisted watching the show for yrs because of it. However, my niece loves the show and insisted on watching while here one day and I got hooked on the plot and cleverness of the writing. I now love the show and watch it despite the accent.

The reason I mentioned Dan as a possible winner is because they have given him almost NO air time during the whole season. The only thing they have shown is bits and pieces of "Poor worthless gimpy Dan!" Many of them talked about keeping Na to take to the end, but did anyone mention Dan to take to the end. There is a "LOT" that goes on that we never see. They usually "blindsight" us with the editing. If the winner is obvious, they would lose viewers. From what we have seen, Dan is less "deserving" (although I think anyone who makes it to the end IS deserving) then some of the others. For that matter Jane looked very deserving, until last week! I should be very interesting! I'm preparing our pizza!

BIG HONKING HEARTTHROB is sure a pretty one. love then dark reds and purples. I kept pulling the queen annes lace out of mt flower beds,and every time I thought I had it all out, more came up. but, now that I have moved and all the plants are in pots. now, maybe I am rid of it now.I was always pulling it out and it kept taking over everything.Can't plant my daylilies now where I am, the soil is so hard, can't possibly dig a hole in it.But, just as well I guess, I find it much easier to keep weeds out of them,altho,I still have some pots that has some weeds in them, Been too hot to stay outside long enough to do anything other then water them all.

DH and I have really enjoyed the show, but the spaces between the short seasons have been way too long IMO. I don't really like that "other woman", LOL. Have seen her in a lot of shows and I just don't like her in any of the roles she has played. Doubt we'll watch her show.

Since I dvr almost everything, I won't watch the show until tomorrow morning. This is a good show with no nudity or extremely bad language so, of course, it's not being continued.

I'm a long time fan of The Closer and wish I had the TNT channel. Guess I'll end up renting the last season as I've rented previous seasons. Kyra is so perfect in this show as is all of the original cast.

I will miss this show. I'm another one who doesn't particularly care for the 'other woman'. I'll give it a try, just like I'm doing with Dallas. But I'll try it on its own merit, not expecting it to resemble The Closer.

I like Capt. Rayder, she's really come a long way from when she first started on the show. She's gone from snooty and competitive to funny and caring. I think she'll do well in the new show.

I think what won me over was when she was getting stories from Brenda's mom over Christmas dinner, of when Brenda was younger. And then when she nailed that bad guy with her bean-bag shotgun, right between the eyes. The other detectives were so impressed and kept that beanbag. It was a hoot.

The Closer is a good show, I love it. Will miss it. I still have the last episode of Monk, and I watch it about once a year. And cry a little.

Great show. I'll miss it. Capt Rayder grew on me.
I like her. Watched Perception afterwards and found it
very uncomfortable.

I love The Closer and will miss it! I think it's so funny but also has a good storyline. I kept wondering what else I had seen Capt. Rayder in and as a previous poster pointed out it was in "Dances with Wolves". I'm not crazy about her....

I hope these six episodes aren't serialized into one storyline. I wasn't thrilled with last night's show. I doubt I'll watch the new one as I don't care for the character. Will the other members of the major crimes team still be in it? That might help....
