Sourdough bread help!!!

My bread isn't rising........

What now?

Here's what I've done so far:

Friday AM: Took starter from fridge (hasn't been used or fed for a couple of weeks), brought to room temp. I had about a cup, so added 1/2 c. warm water and 1/2 c. whole wheat flour (all I had). Left in oven with light on all day.

Friday PM: Starter looked good, I could tell it had been active during the day from the lines on the container. Still had bubbles. I made my dough, simple, AP flour water, salt and a little oil.

I put it in the fridge overnight hoping for a long slow rise to improve flavor.

Saturday AM: Removed from fridge with NO sign of rising.

Left on counter at room temp for about 2 hours. Nothing.

Put in oven with light on hoping the warmer temp would "activate" it. Nothing.

It's been out of the fridge for about 6 hours now and NO sign of rising.

Is there anything I can do? Just be patient?

Or is something screwed up and I need to toss it (or bake for the chickens) and start over?

I am busy today building fence, but in and out of the house so can do whatever I need to do. For now, I'm leaving it in the oven with the light on and will check in in a couple of hours to see what the 'experts' recommend!

I'm counting on you guys..................LOL!!!!

Thanks,

Deanna
