I love the Stephanie Plum books, too. I may have been one of the folks singing the praises of that series on other posts. There are now 16 books in the series. Finger Lickin' Fifteen was just released in paperback, and Sizzling Sixteen was released June 22. And don't forget to read the four "between the numbers" books. You should read them in the proper order too, or there might be a spoiler or two. They are Visions of Sugar Plums (8 1/2), Plum Lovin (12 1/2), Plum Lucky (13 1/2) and Plum Spooky (14 1/2). You know, it looks kinda cute from the trailer. After seeing Katherine Heigl in a string of really bad movies lately I was giving up on her, but I might try this one after all. One for the Money is the only Evanovich book I've read, and I didn't love it enough to follow up on the rest of the series. If the movie doesn't follow the book too closely, I won't be offended the way an ardent fan would. Rosefolly

It seems to me that Hollywood only makes three movies these days: The movie about running real fast and engaging in physically impossible acrobatics while things blow up all around. The fart joke movie. The dysfunctional relationships movie, which has two variants: pseudo-inspirational and frankly depressing. Of course, these can be combined, as for instance, in the upcoming remake of Murder on the Orient Express which seems to combine Hercule Poirot, superhero, with the most dreary-looking trainload of miserable people you ever saw. So I just don't go. The suggestion to go to an art house is clearly made by people who live in very major metro areas. I live just north of a major metro area, but still about 90% of the movies I might possibly wish to see do not play within 150 miles of where I live. I see about one movie a year in the theater. Unfortunately, I do keep up with what's current when visiting my brother who has every known streaming service. I'm astounded at how fatiguing it is to try to be entertained.

I am looking for The Father, hoping to find it here. My Mom had Alzheimers for 15 years-she passed at 80 years of age(21 yrs ago)...she didn't know any of us from about age 73-now, my 69 yr old sister is exhibiting dementia symptoms ( has been for about 3 yrs)-I am thinking that by age 72 or so, she will no longer be as able physically or mentally as she is currently. She has gone downhill physically over the past year, terribly. Myself-no one knows what the odds are regarding my ending up with this disease. I am "forgetful" at times, and am very much aware of my forgetfulness-but not any worse than most my age-my son, only 42,has a much worse memory on a daily basis than I have.
