Help on tweaks of Layout

Ok, so I'm starting to interview cabinet makeres and GC's. I've gotten some great advice on the kitchen layout already. So my last decision is which version of the pennisula/table combination do you like.

A key thing to understand is that the table (whether rectangular or round) is a free standing piece of furniture at normal dinning height. I have small kids (2 and 5) and this will be their snacking, breakfast, and homework area. The attached family room will also be "their" area.

We will be eating family meals in my reclaimed formal dining room (which will become less formal). Adults will likely hang out in the living room, which is off the dining room.

So, here are the plans:

Square Table:

Round Table:

One last thing...I know that in either plan you won't be able to get from the bay window to the kitchen on the nook side of the pennisula. I don't think this is a problem.

Thanks!
