concern about fridge fitting in doorway
Comments (2)Marlene501, my 33" wide refrigerator from LG with the water on the door and the ice in the freezer would not fit through my sliding door either. The delivery men took the door off and reinstalled the door so it was not a problem. I wanted the 36" LG with no water on the door but a friend didn't think it would have fit the opening in my kitchen but he was wrong since I have 3 extra inches on the side and that upsets me since I did not want water on the door being that I prefer the clean look of a door with nothing on it. I should have trusted my own measurements. But the door comes off and can be installed back on again so you have no worries. I had to hire a plumber since I had no water line and now I have to keep buying filters for my refrigerator but I do love the French Door refrigerator so much. I love having a bottom freezer where I can reach everything since I am not quite 5 feet. I love not having to move a kitchen chair out of the way to open the refrigerator door. By the way, my little dogs get the filtered water for their water dishes now and I use the filtered water for my coffee in the morning. But I still drink Poland Spring Bottled water all day. My dogs and coffee used to use the bottled water also. Hope this helps you....See Moresmall small kitchen
Comments (146)wow I haven't updated in a while. Renovations are going slow. SO far all I got accomplished is getting my window put in and my back wall now has fake bricks face over real bricks, LOL. I did get my fuse box taken out and now have a circuit breaker box, window is out and vent hood vent is in place. whoooo whooooo. here are some previews. Like I said nothing finished yet... window is in brick face wall...still a little wet Logs were re-chinked and painted white and I decided that was tooo much so I covered them partially with drywall I had to get a new door because my cabinets would not fit through the 31" doorway. Doorway is now 36" a couple of cabinets are up Of course you can get the blow by blow story on my blog...See MoreKitchen Fridge issue - fridge/freezer drawers?

Comments (28)Our old cats, who have since passed, used the cat door as we had to keep the basement door shut when our kids were babies. We keep it cracked open now, but the issue of people opening it too quickly, or leaving it open when they go downstairs, is constant. I'm not worried about the cat door (and our 3 new cats refuse to use it and prefer to sit on the other side and meow :) I don't really know that there is a good solution, as I want a door at the top of the stairs and our pantry next to it is more narrow that the doorway, so a barn door wouldn't fit....See Morechicagoans
